Experience the Joy of Rowing in one of the most beautiful locations in Scotland

Stirling Rowing Club has a long and fruitful history, dating back from the original club formed in 1853, through to its closure in 1860, then re-opening thirty-one years on in 1891 when Stirling Amateur Rowing Club was born in its current capacity and from here the club went from strength to strength, becoming one of the distinguished clubs in Scotland.

Junior Learn To Row in Stirling 🚣

We currently have spaces left on our junior learn to row course starting this Sunday (5th April - full course dates below)! Our junior programmes are for those aged 11-17.

The programme consists of a free 'give it a go day' for you to come down and try it out, and then 5 learn to row sessions where you will learn the basics of rowing both on the indoor machines and in a boat on the River Forth, and costs £60.

Rowing is a sport that comes with many benefits; it keeps you fit an active, and it's a great way to socialise, meet new people and make friends.

Full course dates:
5th (give it a go day), 7th, 8th, 12th, 14th & 15th of April.

We also have a junior course running in July if these dates don't suit with spaces still available!

If you'd like any more information or would like to sign up to one of our learn to row courses, please email [email protected].

Head of the Charles!

Congratulations to Kevin and Ollie who travelled out to Boston to compete at the Head of the Charles Regatta, coming back with some impressive results!

Kevin finished 24th out of 120 in the Grand Master / Veteran single on the Friday, and Ollie came 18th out of 40 in the Club single on Saturday.

They then teamed up and raced together in the Parent / Child double on the Sunday and finished 3rd out of 60 (starting 51st), coming home with a bronze medal. A fantastic achievement! 🥉

It’s great to see Stirling being represented (and achieving such great results) in such high standard international events like these!
