It’s Time to Talk Day!

Time to Talk Day was launched in 2014 by Time to Change, a campaign to end mental health stigma and discrimination, which was run by Mind and Rethink Mental Illness.

Happening every year, it’s a day for friends, families, communities, and workplaces to come together to talk, listen, and change lives.

Mental health is part of everyone’s day-to-day life, it affects all of us, but there is still a stigma around it. To tackle this properly we need to help young people to understand that it is okay not to be okay and you can talk about it. We also need the adults in young people's lives to understand how to talk about it and how best to support young people.

The more conversations we have, the better life is for everyone. Talking about mental health isn’t always easy and sometimes it’s even harder to say how you feel. But a conversation has the power to change lives.

Introducing Martin – the latest addition to our fantastic team!

Martin comes on board as an Assessor, specialising in Business Admin and Customer Service.

His journey is fascinating – a former Royal Marine, Martin kickstarted his career in various units, eventually transitioning into training establishments. During his military career, he played a pivotal role in helping trained ranks secure BTEC qualifications in their chosen fields. After an impressive 15 years and four operational tours in Iraq and Afghanistan, Martin decided to step away from the military to prioritise quality time with his family.

When asked what excites him most about his new role, Martin said:

"I thrive on engaging with candidates and their employers. My goal is to champion and support candidates in unlocking their full potential, guiding them to achieve a recognised modern apprenticeship in their chosen field. As an assessor, I'm committed to continuous development, expanding my qualifications, and exploring opportunities to introduce other programs that will maximise our business's potential."
