President Review

Back when I started Outcast Metal Media it was off the back of helping Plagues from a street team point of view.

I had these ideas, these visions how a show would look like from a fan point of view and even suggested little things here and there that would make it stand out. Make it more interesting. More interactive.

And in essence President is what I didn’t get with Plagues. It was just all the above and more. Sure it wasn’t a long set. 6 songs including a cover of Deftones’ Change (In The House Of Flies). Every track was played with great musicianship, and quality sound. But I really can’t wait for President to get bigger and better as so much more can be done. The President branded bunting, “Vote For President” cards, flags, badges gave that impression of a “Presidential Rally”. Money was spent, and effort was made to make it as interactive from a spectators point of view and well worth the long jaunt down to London. I highly recommend grabbing a ticket when you can, as they won’t disappoint.

At £15 I can’t scoff. Its sad scalpers jump on bandwagons forcing genuine fans of music to fork out hundreds of pounds to attend. Legislation really needs sorting out in this country.

It’s Spotify wrapped time, and We Are Awakened, Waterlines, Veiled, Fightstar and Bad Omens were my most listened to bands with Gunship making an appearance for most listened to track with “The Gates Of Disorder”

So Falling In Reverse’s late cancellation the day before their tour was due to start, has not only affected themselves, and Hollywood Undead. It’s also meant a mini tour inbetween with Our Last Night, DREAM STATE, Acres and REVNOIR. I was very much contemplating getting a ticket for that last minute. But this tour has also been cancelled.

6 bands, two tours, one large, one mini, all cancelled. It affects so much more than you think, and it’s a massive shame as Our Last Night, Dream State, Acres and Revnoir are top class bands.

The venue for tonight as I’m back in Manchester for the second of this weekends double header as I get to see my boys in Waterlines alongside Alchemize and Polar

It’s been 4 weeks. There’s been a lot of releases. There’s been a lot of bands to check out.

This video should have come out a while ago. Due to personal reasons, it didn’t. However, I’m happy to finally let it out there.

I’d like to take thank everyone at RADAR Festival for the opportunity to do this interview, and for Catherine taking the time to have a chat all things Radar as well as some of the challenges they face on a yearly basis. With any luck, we’ll be back in 2025.
