Sometimes the best lessons in rugby happen off the pitch.

One of our junior 24 tops went missing after a game and this week it came back, along with this brilliant, honest letter from a young player at Oswestry Rugby Club, who owned up, apologised, and made sure it was returned.

Massive credit to him for having the courage to put this right, and to his dad and Oswestry RFC for helping him do it.

This is what rugby’s all about: honesty, accountability, and respect for the shirt, whoever’s wearing it.

Values our juniors are learning every week, and it’s brilliant to see them showing up in a rival club too.

The top is back where it belongs. No hard feelings! See you on the pitch. 🏉

What an amazing opportunity and incredible facilities at Sedbergh Rugby Festival yesterday. Huge thanks to Sedbergh Courses and all the coaches there for hosting us.

The squad played four magnificent games of rugby under the new rules, getting to grips with scrums, rucks and mauls. The defence was absolutely phenomenal throughout.

The kids absolutely loved the opportunity and left buzzing. A great start to the season! Glorious weather topped off a brilliant rugby day out - one for the memory bank. 🏉☀️

First friendly match of the 26/27 season for the U13s. It was brilliant to get back into it with a tough game of rugby as the lads adjusted to the larger pitch size and contested scrum. Thank you to our hosts Manchester U13s for being so welcoming and bringing the energy 🙌✨

Owen won Manchester’s MOM, which was thoroughly deserved. Special mention to Oliver and George for some outstanding phases of play today.

A very tough decision from the coaches for our MOM - arise Sir Matthew! Not only was it his first performance at 9 (impressive in itself), but his calm decision-making and speed of pass bode very well for the rest of the season. Very well done.

Join our U11s. Guaranteed game time, every week!

Looking for a rugby club for your child? Some U11 squads in the area have big squads, but it often means split teams and not everyone getting a game.

At Heaton Moor Minis, our U11s is a small, tight-knit squad, which means every player gets on the pitch every single week.

New players always welcome.
