🏁 RACE WEEK IS HERE! 🏁

After more than 6 weeks away from racing, Layla Bell is finally back behind the wheel this weekend! 🔥

📍 PF International Kart Circuit
📅 5th–6th September
🏎️ TVKC – Round 5
⚡ Junior Rotax
💪 Privateer

And there’s an extra challenge…

This will be only Layla’s second-ever race at PFI. A seriously demanding circuit, a competitive Junior Rotax grid and plenty of unknowns — but that’s exactly what we’re here for.

Six weeks away means it’s time to shake off the cobwebs, get back into race mode and see what we can do.

No team, just a determined driver, a kart, and a whole lot of hard work. 💪🔥

The goal? Learn, improve, fight forward and make every lap count.

PFI… we’re coming for you. 🏁

Fun day testing at PF International today. Loads of track time and lots of progress made.

Having only done one weekend here before it was a chance for dad to try some of his own setups before we race there in a couple of weeks and I shaved over 1.1 seconds off my PB!

Still some bits to work on but really happy with the waft from Aurum Racing Engines.

Thanks to Archie Tillett from Tillett Racing Seats Ltd who took the time to stop unprompted and give some advice and a check over when he noticed we were having issues with my rib protector.

The McLaren MCL-HY spotted testing at Silverstone yesterday. That number 4 got us wondering, could it have been Lando Norris piloting it for a new Team Quadrant video?

Test day at Kart Silverstone! What did we think?

First session out we were rubbish 🤦 fortunately some of the countries best were there to learn from a few corners at a time as they pre-tested for the British Champs finalé. Progress was made going faster each session, knocking over 4 seconds off by the end of the day and the Aurum Racing Engines waft did me proud. Still looked stationary next to some of these boys though, but that's from my mistakes in the corners, 100 lap tyres didn't help either 🤣

The track is fantastic, with lots of challenging sections and some fast bits too. I think it's one of those tracks that if you master it, you'll be able to transfer it to any track, anywhere.

The facilities I would say are definitely catered more to the corporate karting, which you can't blame them for when that where they'll generate most of the revenue. The paddock is all gravel More toilets and wash facilities would be nice and I think they'll feel that at the British.

It's also really bad from a spectator point of view. You can't see much track side, you need to climb stairs to the top of the main building to have a chance of really seeing anything, not ideal for mechanics due to the time it takes. A mechanics gallery or small grandstand would be handy.

Nit picky bits but thought it's worth pointing them out for anyone thinking of going.

Overall though, for the drivers it's definitely worth giving it a go.

On to the next.
