Do your hips feel tight? Do you get any stiffness when getting up to move? If you sit for long periods of time you may find this happens more often than not. Our hip joints bear the most weight in our body and are responsible for most of our daily activity and our exercise, whether it's lifting, running, riding, or rowing. Keeping the hips both mobile and strong is important to keep the rest of the body healthy and aligned.
Here are 5 benefits of strengthing the hips:
1. Improves posture.
2. Relaxes your joints.
3. Helps reduce arthritis symptoms.
4. Reduces strain of the lower back.
5. Help with balance.
Pilates is an excellent, low impact way to help you achieve this and more π
