That's a wrap on National Volunteer Week 2026!

We hope this week's content has given a bit more of insight of how much goes into our club and how much we appreciate all those who choose to give their time.

Quite simply, the club we all love, could not run without our superstar volunteers.

Volunteers’ Week – Celebrating Our Member Volunteers

Within our member community we have some members who show up to do odd jobs such as working on our grounds, painting, fixing, litter picking, organising storage and clearing out clutter.

These jobs keep our club functional and looking lovely.

Our club is a place to be proud of.

We are so thankful to our members who give their own time to help look after our club and support us in ensuring our club remains a safe, successful and enjoyable place to be.

Volunteers’ Week – Celebrating Our Senior Cricket Volunteers

A lot goes into organising our cricket section. The senior cricket section is a busy, successful part of our club. There are captains, welfare officers, committee.
Some of their jobs are having to select teams, organise matches and training (even winter nets!), attend meetings, obtain sponsors, organise fundraisers, provide social media posts for the club account, ensure our grounds and equipment are well maintained and are treated respectfully by visitors and more!

They spend a lot of time ensuring our cricket season is enjoyable and successful each year.

Volunteers’ Week – Celebrating Our Squash Section Volunteers

We have a thriving squash section within our club and so much of the volunteer activity happens quietly and without fanfare.
So today we want to tell you just some of the activities taken on by some squash members in their own time.

Our squash volunteers spend a lot of time organising matches and tournaments, looking after our courts and balcony area, arranging box leagues, co ordinating club night sessions, inducting new members, league admin and attending meetings, along with writing newsletters and social posts.

Recently our squash volunteers have also developed a successful junior squash section. They have taken time to plan, organise and conduct junior training sessions each week and it has been great to see the juniors enjoying the sessions.

We appreciate you all giving your own time to enable our squash section is successful, safe and enjoyable.
