After falling just short last season. This season the U7 jets got over the line. Not our best performance of the season but grit and determination won the day with us taking a win against a team that we have failed to beat all season. First trophy for this bunch. Hopefully of many ❤️🖤⚽

Hazel Grove United Jets U13s vs Marple Athletic

Cup Final @ Cheadle Town 🏆

This was an incredibly tight affair, both teams know each other pretty well and game was really well matched all the way through. HG made a positive start but both teams took a while to get used to the massive pitch. We made the breakthrough 25 mins in, great play from Arthur, feeding in Hamilton from the left wing, who used his strength and power to cut inside and deliver a great ball across, Ethan was at the back post but their defender turned it into his own goal, but really had no choice under Ethan’s pressure. The game stayed close in the second half, both teams creating a couple of chances each. With the trophy in one hand, Marple caught us on the break, their left winger breaking through and squaring for a tap in with a few minutes left. In the end, a draw at full time was fair, penalties needed to win the cup! Luc our keeper saved the 1st and gave us a great platform. Matthew, Ollie, Jenson and Captain Fantastic Joel all with quality pens to seal a 4-2 win. Credit to Marple who were great today, but huge congratulations to our lads to win some silverware. A great day for the players and our parents who made some right noise from the stands.🏆
