As we age resistance exercise (weight training, kettlebell and resistance bands training)
becomes more important than ever.
At 62 I know just how important this it. It helps with our mobility, strength, balance, bone density, blood pressure etc.
Just 2-3 30 to 60 minute sessions a week could change your life!

π I don't post very often but I have to post this π At 40 years young Blake Slater wasn't keen on his workout of the day... The Royal Marine's fit test. He nailed it! The guy's a machine πππ
15 minutes none stop of burpees, sit ups, pushups and 1 minute plank. 3 rounds back to back all done to the Royal Marine's beep test timer. Then I was kind enough to give him a 5 minutes break before the rest of his workout π

Saturday morning finished training a client then got my own workout in ππͺπΌπ
Shoulders and arms today. ππΌ
Followed by my banana and blueberries protein shake... with 8g of creatine monohydrate added.
Truth. All we can do is try our best πͺπΌ

Just completed my "Prevent Sarcopenia" workout.
Sarcopenia is the loss of skeletal muscle mass and strength as a result of ageing. Now I'm in my 60s I'm determined NOT to end up being a "Zimmer"... one of those old folks who can't move without a Zimmer frame because of Sarcopenia π€·π»ββοΈ
