Stockport Georgians Girls & Womens Cricket

We are honoured to have been selected for a place in the new regional competion, The Thunder Cup. After a rigourous and well managed selection process by Lancashire Cricket we are looking forward to taking our place in this history making competition this season.

As a genuine amateur, grassroots club, who focus on homegrown players and youth development, this is a huge acheivement for our club and one which we can all be immensley proud of. And to that end, we must acknowledge the huge efforts of so many volunteers over the years who have helped build our girls and womens section from the ground up.

With over 140 female playing members, and a track record in developing young cricketers, our pathway has produced over 20 players who have played at County age group and several beyond that. For playing enquiries, please contact us by DM or on [email protected]

Unbelievably proud day for us all in Dubai yesterday. Not only were we there as a family to see Olivia Bell make her World Cup debut for Cricket Scotland but she took a wicket and effected a run out too.

The walk out to the ground and rendition of Flower of Scotland was very emotional and will forever be a lasting memory. Thank you to all the message of support from friends and family and those at Stockport Georgians C.C .

Of course, not the result we wanted in the end but a new chapter has well and truly started for this exciting and talented group. Being on a World stage and competing will surely inspire the next generation of young cricketers in Scotland. Proud of all the squad and what they have achieved.

💯SGCC - THE HUNDRED!!💯

Join us on bank holiday Monday 29th May for more centenary celebrations! The day will include:

- 3 x HUNDRED games
- BBQ Breakfast/Lunch
- Woodfired Pizza oven in the afternoon/evening
- Ice-cream Van from midday
- Music
- Bar open

It is set to be a great day of fun and celebration. It would be fantastic to see lots of players, family members, coaches, volunteers, social members and the members of the community down to enjoy the day! All welcome!

After a hugely successful Presidents Day weekend, the Centenary Celebrations continue this Saturday 29th with our All Club Day.

We are delighted to welcome all our junior & senior members & families as well as our local community & neighbours to come and watch some cricket from midday. The Clubhouse bar will be open and The Dough Guys will be there with their awesome pizzas!
