With temperatures set to reach 21°C+, we’re adjusting some lesson times to keep both our horses and riders comfortable. Morning lessons may continue as normal, with some afternoon activities moving later in the day. We’ll keep everyone updated as the week progresses.

Keeping our ponies cool and comfortable is our top priority during the hot weather! ☀️🐴

Over the past few days, our team and riders have been working hard to make sure all of our ponies stay happy and healthy in the sunshine. From plenty of fresh water and shaded turnout to cooling baths, extra grooming sessions and lots of well-deserved rest breaks, we’re doing everything we can to help them beat the heat.

We’re also incredibly proud of our riders who have been helping to care for the ponies, making sure they’re hydrated and looking after themselves too. ❤️

🐴 Exciting Update to Our 60 Minute Private Lessons 🐴

At Bank Farm Riding School, we believe great riders are made both in and out of the saddle.

Our 60 minute private lessons will now include 45 minutes of riding and 15 minutes of horse care. This gives riders valuable hands-on experience learning how to safely prepare their horse before riding and helps build confidence, independence and excellent horsemanship skills.

For our Level 3 riders and above, this will include learning how to:
🐎 Put on a bridle correctly
🐎 Check that all tack is fitted safely and correctly
🐎 Ensure the horse is ready to ride before mounting
🐎 Check girth security and stirrup length independently

These are important skills for riders progressing through their riding journey and help create knowledgeable, confident equestrians.
