Nobody sees the setup, the permission slips, or the extra ten minutes after training. The athletes only know that they leave feeling like they belong somewhere.
That is coaching, and it matters more than any score sheet.
Tag a coach who does this every single week. 🧡

Behind every confident athlete is a community helping to make participation possible.
Coaches, volunteers, parents and teammates all play an important part in creating a positive cheer experience.
The strongest programmes are built through trust, clear communication, mutual respect and consistent support. Every positive training environment helps athletes develop skills, self belief, friendships and a lasting connection to the sport.
Tag someone who makes a difference in your cheer community and follow UKCA as we continue to grow the sport together.

Progress is not about attempting the hardest skill as quickly as possible.
Strong athletes build control, body awareness and consistency at every stage before adding height, speed or difficulty.
Coaches can support long term development by choosing progressions that match each athlete’s current physical and psychological readiness.
Master the foundation. Build confidence. Then move forward.
Share this with an athlete or coach who needs the reminder and follow UKCA for more development guidance.

Safe progress starts before the first skill is attempted.
Before every session, coaches should consider the training space, equipment, athlete readiness, appropriate supervision and emergency procedures.
A well planned environment helps athletes learn with confidence and allows skills to be introduced through appropriate, level specific progressions.
Safety is not a single check. It is a consistent coaching practice shared by coaches, athletes and everyone supporting the team.
Save this reminder for your next session and follow UKCA for more coaching guidance.
