This weekend, Friday 14th and Saturday 15th of November we'll be closed. Open again as normal from Monday 17th. Enjoy your weekend folks, we will.

We have a couple of things on over the next two weekends so we'll be closed on Monday 18th and then also closed for Friday the 22nd to Monday 25th over the bank holiday weekend, re-opening on Tuesday 26th.

Disruption to normal service.

While the kids are off school we'll be closing for some much needed family time so as of 5.30pm on Friday 23rd, we're outta here. We'll be back open from 9am on Monday 2nd of June.

Morning folks, we have a couple of family things going on over the next few days. If you're coming to see us on Thursday 27th or Friday 28th it would be a good idea to ring first to make sure the shop is open as I may be elsewhere. Saturday the 1st we'll be closed, cheering on the boy doing his sport and representing the area.

We seem to keep having a very similar conversation at the moment, well two conversations I suppose. Firstly and unsurprisingly, the weather not being brilliant - this will change. The other one is that everything keeps going up in price and lots of people seem to be unwilling to part with any money thanks to the uncertainty around the economy. To that end, we're putting together a few second hand bikes to try to help get you get out and about without troubling the piggy bank too much.

A quick Google reveals that the average cost of a gym membership in the UK is £47.24 per month, that's nearly £600 a year and the view will never beat those found in our local hills. The average cost of running a car in the UK is around £310 per month, that's heading for four grand a year!

For somewhere well under the cost of that annual gym membership or for the car costs (fuel savings anyway) of a month or two, we can kit you out with a bike, helmet, lights, lock and a few basics to get you outdoors. Fresh air and freedom put together with a sense of adventure can only lead to a better outlook on whatever else finds it's way into your thoughts.

If a little time on the bike tempts you out of the car for some local journeys, that could help the planet too. Win win.
