Do children need shoes and uniform for their first lesson?

No! We actually prefer parents to wait before buying uniform and dance shoes 🩰

We want to make sure your child is happy, settled and enjoying their classes first.

We also have some lovely pre-loved dance shoes we’re happy to lend out to help get started 🩰

Then when you’re ready, you can order everything you need through our shop 🛍️

Boogie Babes this Friday!!! Relaxed class full of lots of dances and fun props! Siblings FREE! Get yourself to our last class before the half term!

At Step Ahead our classes are carefully structured for different ages and abilities so every child feels comfortable, confident and supported 🙌🏻

From our tiniest Boogie Babies taking their very first steps right through to our senior dancers and ballet students progressing, each class is designed to help children progress at their own pace while still having fun and making friends along the way.

21 years ago Natalie swapped being a student at Step Ahead to become Principal… and what an amazing 21 years it’s been!

Step Ahead has been a place where children grow in confidence, build friendships, work hard and create memories that last a lifetime!

We’ve watched nervous little dancers grow into confident performers and seen so many students achieve things they never thought possible.
