People sitting South at our duplicate session last night were "lucky" enough to get this rare (only 1 in roughly 1,827) hand containing no honours, known as a "Yarborough".
We're all looking forward now to our Annual Dinner at Stockport Golf Club on 20th May, where we'll enjoy a lovely meal, washed down with a glass or two of wine, and some sociable bridge (hopefully with a few more high card points to play with).
On Sunday, eight of our members travelled over to Hale to take part in the Gazette Cup Teams event run by the Manchester Count Bridge Association.
12 teams played 44 boards, our Team eventually achieving 8th place.

Many thanks to Marple Catholic Church for accommodating us for the past few years.
While they have some building work done, we have relocated to Marple Methodist Church and Quaker Meeting House on Church Lane.
Do come and join us in our new venue!

Our Annual General Meeting was held last night,
attended by 26 people.
This was followed by Prize Giving
and the UNICEF Charity Pairs event.

We all had a great Christmas Party last night.
Many thanks to all those who worked so hard behind the scenes, one of whom went on to be one of our Winners after 24 hands of bridge!

National simultaneous pairs tonight .raising money for children in need .
Three pairs from our club currently featuring in the top 12 of the ECats Bridge Summer Charity Pairs which involved over 200 competing pairs.
