Sighthounds feel everything, and hold more tension than you think.
They’re sensitive.
They’re intuitive.
And often they carry stress quietly in their bodies.
It can be hard to see, but you can get a sense of the tension.
With sighthounds, I often see:
→ subtle tension
→ sensitivity to touch
→ difficulty fully relaxing
→ they go quiet and turn in on themselves
✨ TTouch works beautifully for them because it’s slow, gentle, and respectful of their sensitivity.
It helps them:
• Feel safer in their body
• Release tension patterns
• Truly switch off and relax
If you have a sighthound, you’ll understand this 💛 message me if you’d like help for you and your sighthound x

Helping your senior dog feel comfortable again… without pushing them emotionally or physically.
You may start to notice the little changes…
They take a bit longer to get up.
They don’t want to walk as far.
They have stopped jumping into the car easily, or onto the settee.
They just seem different, quieter.
You wonder if there’s something more you could be doing to help them feel better.
✨ This is where TTouch can be such a positive, but highly effective, gentle support.
It works by:
• Helping the body release tension
• Supporting the nervous system
• Improving comfort and body awareness
So your dog can feel more relaxed, move more freely and more like themselves again 💛
If you have a senior dog and want to support them gently, message me 🐾

All Wrapped Up: Simple Body Wraps for Balance, Awareness, and Relaxation
with Robyn Hood
Sunday, March 22: 11 AM PT | 2 PM ET | 7 PM UK | 8 PM Central Europe
Tellington TTouch® Body Wraps are one of the simplest and most powerful tools we use to help support balance, awareness, and nervous system regulation, not only for animals, but for people as well.
In this interactive webinar, Robyn Hood will introduce several easy ways Body Wraps can help anyone feel more connected, more aware of their body, and more grounded in their nervous system. These gentle techniques can support greater coordination, emotional balance, and a deeper sense of safety and calm.
Participants are invited to experience the effects directly as Robyn guides the group through several simple wrapping techniques.
If possible, bring an elastic bandage so you can try the exercises along with us.
This will be a relaxed, experiential session where you can discover how these simple tools can help create greater awareness, balance, and well-being for both people and animals.

✨ Free Facebook Live: TTouch for the Extremities ✨
Join myself and fellow Tellington TTouch Instructor Tina Constance next Monday for a focused session exploring TTouch for the extremities.
In this live, we’ll be working with the mouth, ears, paws and tail—areas with a rich sensory input that can significantly influence the nervous system, posture and overall balance.
We’ll share specific TTouches and considerations for each area, including how working on the extremities can support:
• improved proprioception and body awareness
• increased relaxation and parasympathetic response
• greater ease with handling and husbandry procedures
• release of tension patterns that can influence the whole body
We’ll also discuss how to approach these areas with respect and choice, particularly for dogs who may be sensitive or defensive around contact in these areas.
💛 Free to join

Sometimes what we label as behaviour…
Is actually discomfort or pain.
If a dog:
• Avoids being touched
• Snaps during grooming or moves away
• Does not want to sit
• Becomes reactive on lead
We often look at training first.
But what if their body is actually whispering to us?
Small areas of tension
Low-grade joint sensitivity
Subtle asymmetry
Nervous system overload
TTouch works in that grey area —
The space between behaviour and body, because physical and emotional balance are linked.
Prehab allows us to:
✔ Notice early signs
✔ Improve circulation and awareness
✔ Reduce tension before it escalates
✔ Support resilience
When the body feels safer, behaviour often changes. They can breathe and relax.

🌿 What Is Prehab? (And Why It Matters)
We often wait until something goes wrong.
A limp.
A behaviour change.
A reluctance to jump in the car.
A growl during grooming.
But what if we supported the body before it had to shout?
Prehabilitation is about:
✨ Supporting joint awareness
✨ Improving proprioception
✨ Encouraging soft tissue comfort
✨ Helping the nervous system stay regulated
TTouch isn’t just something we use when there’s a problem.
It’s a gentle way to:
• Maintain body awareness
• Reduce compensatory tension
• Support emotional regulation
• Keep communication open
Prehab says:
“I see you. I’m listening. Let’s stay well together.”
Because prevention is quieter… but far more powerful.

Just one day to go!
Thinking about prevention rather than cure, with a few Tellington TTouch techniques.
We hope to see you here, tomorrow evening at 7.30pm 😊
✨ FREE Facebook Live – POSTPONED- new date 9th February ✨
Prehabilitation, not rehabilitation – the TTouch® way
We often meet animals after something has gone wrong.
After the injury.
After the tension, reactivity, or loss of confidence.
After the body has already started to compensate.
But Tellington TTouch® invites us to ask a different question 💭
How can we support our animals before they struggle?
On Monday evening, I’m teaming up with Tina Constance again, to give a free Facebook Live exploring prehabilitation. Using gentle, thoughtful TTouch® principles to help animals stay balanced, physically and emotionally, resilient and comfortable, rather than needing rehabilitation later on.
We’ll be talking about:
• Supporting the nervous system, not just the body
• Improving body awareness, balance and coordination
• How small TTouch inputs can support long-term wellbeing
• Practical, kind techniques you can use at home
• Helping animals feel safer and more confident in their bodies
This live is suitable for animals of all ages, from youngsters still developing to seniors needing extra support, and for guardians who want a proactive, compassionate approach to care 💜
