Tough one to take this morning, winning the game for 88 minutes to concede from a mistake.
We started off strong, got an early 2-0 lead and felt like despite us still leading we dropped the standards and let the game stay within touching distance.
Overall despite the result the lads played well and had some positive moments we can take into games going forward.
Thank you to Horse & Jockey, Hazel Grove for the hospitality 🍻

First league game of the season! 🏆
The lads head into there toughest season to date, after a good finish last season the lads now find themselves in division 2, we will play each other twice but also will play the top division teams once to offer good amounts of football! ⚽️
We start off against cheadle hulme Albion, a good outfit and a great first test.

A first loss in pre season and it’s probably come at a good time, brought back down to earth to what’s going to be a hard season ahead!
Good football being displayed and plenty of chances in the game, scoreline definitely doesn’t give the full picture for how well the lads did!
Fitness and experience was definitely key I’d say.
One more friendly before the season opener 🏆

Another friendly finished ✅
Took control of the game from the off which saw us 2-0 up inside 10 minutes, from there the game settled, evening out making it a hard fought game from both sides.
Two set pieces conceded 👎

3rd pre-season friendly done ✅
A bit of a strange game today. We went a goal down early on through an own goal and really struggled to get into the flow of the game.
We eventually settled into the game and took control, building a 4-1 lead deep into the second half. However, I think the heat started to take its toll, which led to us losing our shape and focus and allowed Salford Athletic back into the game at 4-3.
We managed to get another goal towards the end to put the game beyond doubt and avoid what would have been an unfortunate comeback.
