Well done to all of Bramhall’s fencers at The Youth Series today. Special mentions to Magnus and Eric with gold medals in the under 14 and the under 10 men’s Epee. A first epee competition for Eric too. Well done to all the other medalist that regularly come to Bramhall too!

More sporting success for BHS students!

Fencing star Cami from Yr7 finished an incredible 7th out of 71 competitors at the Riposta Cup in Bucharest (U12 Girls) on Saturday!

Although this was Cami’s first international tournament, she’s already won bronze medals at the British Youth Championships and the England Youth Championships, both of which she’s due to compete in again later this year, so watch this space for more..!

Next Friday, the 20th December, will be our final session for 2024. It’s a long running tradition at Bramhall that at this time of year we have our Christmas fun with some fencing-related games - relay races, "funny" fencing and mass battles.

Between Christmas and New Year, we will be taking a break, so there will be no session on the 27th, but we will be back again on the 3rd January 2025.

May we take this opportunity to wish a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all our members, parents, friends and followers. 🤺🎄🤺🎄

My brother John and I would like to thank all of you from Bramhall Sword Club who attended our Dad’s funeral today. We were very touched and grateful that so many of you came to pay tribute and we also wish to thank all the other fencers who sent cards, messages and condolences. You are all very appreciated.

A message from Bob’s daughter Angela Jupp

I just wanted to thank everyone for all the wonderful photos and messages. I have collected a large number of photographs of memories from the fencing club, Granada TV friends and of course family.

The plan is to show around 25 of the pictures during the funeral service and then my daughter is working on a presentation of all the pictures for the reception after the funeral. I’ll try and get that posted online afterwards for those who are unable to attend.
