And that’s the first event entered!

Really looking forward to this England Squash Masters event at Warrington Sports Club

Been training hard for the past 3 weeks. Now, age that does mean more time out on the bike, and in the gym. Perhaps not as much fun, but neccersary to avoid injury!

Definitely will look to get some more quality hits in over the next few weeks, too.

Combinations of focused drills sessions, and the occasional practice match.

Very fortunate to have access to amazing players and people at Grove Park Squash and all across Cheshire to get on court with.

Watch this space for some training vlogs coming soon!

Hi all,

Been a minute since I’ve posted on here!

This page was formerly known as "Nathan Mayers Squash Coaching."

For those who know me well, I’ve been out of full-time coaching for almost five years now. I loved every minute of it and have zero regrets—it was simply time for me to move on and take my life in a new direction.

Looking back on my coaching career, there was one feeling that always lingered in the back of my mind: I felt like I had underachieved as a player. Again, no regrets—that’s just how life goes!

Now, at the ripe old age of 35, a new door opens for me: Masters squash.

I never thought I’d see the day—I was going to be a "young player" forever! But here we are.
It's worth pointing out that this category is jam-packed with top players. I’m not expecting to win events or even push the elite guys too much, but I do see a great opportunity to test and push myself to a higher level than ever before.

Most athlete pages I follow feature either top-tier competitors or huge underdogs. I’m neither—probably just your standard, "middle of the road" Masters player. That got me thinking: maybe there’s space to share what that real journey looks like!

I intend to post updates on training and maybe do a little vlogging (I do like the sound of my own voice, after all!).
Many wonderful followers supported my coaching career on this page over the years. If you’d like to stick around and see a little more content from a slightly different perspective, I’d love to have you along for the ride!
