Great first day at Chatsworth Country Fair helping out at Mallon & Green & Orvis UK in the Angling Village, if you're there over the next few days pop along and say hi, even have a go at fly casting.

A few hours this afternoon over at Danebridge fisheries tricky conditions flat calm and bright sunshine but I still manged to get 3 nice rainbows. All safely returned and swam off strong.

Had a great time hosting,Theo, Graham, Trevor and Jeff Friars Carse Country House Hotel on my July Residential course in the River Nith.
Despite very low water conditions everyone manged to get fish to hand they were not always the biggest but that's fishing for you.
Casting by all showed improvements and I'm sure in better conditions it will make a big difference to their catches
Thanks to all the staff at the hotel for looking after us.
