On Monday I’m starting a full time physio role and will be taking a huge step back from .health.den
will be very much running the show moving forward, but I’ll still be in the background making sure that too much leopard print doesn’t go on the walls.
I can’t explain how much I appreciate my clients, many of whom have been working with me for over 4 years at this point.
They’ve supported me whilst completing a degree, and have been insanely supportive over the last 18 months whilst we’ve been making .health.den what it is.
Being a personal trainer is a really unique job in that your relationships, whilst professional, inevitably end up being some of the deepest and most fulfilling connections you have in your life, and the mutual respect and understanding you can gain with another person is unlike anything else. So it’s been an emotional week!
Helping people exercise has been the absolute joy of my life for almost a decade, and it’s given me skills, experiences and memories that will stay with me for the rest of my career as a physio.
Right now, I’m ready for a fresh start.
Swipe for the greatest gift ever from

Fantastic feedback from rehab client Tom here.
Persistent knee pain can be extremely frustrating, and can begin to really interfere with a persons daily life and physical activity goals.
But it is possible to get your body working for you instead of against you.
This all starts with a comprehensive assessment and a tailored plan that challenges you appropriately and is progressed at the right pace, equipping you with the knowledge and the tools to take things into your own hands and thrive physically again.

Fall in love with the process of training. Take pride in the process of finding a training approach that works for you and your body, not someone else’s. Then sit back and let the process unfold. You can’t control the rest!

Achilles Tendinopathy - self management 101.
As always, this is for educational purposes and shouldn’t be considered personal medical advice. Get yourself assessed by a rehab professional if you have ongoing symptoms.
I hope some people out there are still invested in long form content😂

Mad couple of months. New experiences, challenges, emotional difficulties, and lessons.
Capping my daily instagram usage is doing good things for my noggin. As is lifting heavy things, and being around good people.

Lovely words here from Adam, who’s been working with me for 3 months post hip surgery and rehabbing to previous levels of performance (and beyond!).
It’s been a pleasure to work with him and support his rehab journey so far!

Some thoughts on supporting powerlifting athletes pain/injury rehab. To do it well and to a high level, it requires a much deeper understanding of S&C principles, the demands of the sport itself, and the psychology of the lifter.

Epic performance from this morning at her first fully sanctioned powerlifting comp, coming away with third place and 8/9 successful lifts!
Squat: 107.5kg
Bench: 55kg
Deadlift: 145kg
Such a classy and composed performance by Nat today, fuelled by a passion for lifting heavy things… and jam doughnuts.
Nat is so committed to the process and just absolutely loves training, which makes coaching her an absolute pleasure.
Watch this space, there’s more progress to come👀
Always love being at , great set up and extremely smoothly run competitions!

Another solid week supporting people smash their health and performance goals, manage pain and injury and challenge themselves physically and mentally!
Highlights shown here include Sarah getting to grips with the torture of the short stance split squat, Amy crushing a charity 10km event in the Lake District, and Lisa hitting some deadlifts because strong spines save lives!
