This weekend we will be celebrating a very special milestone. Burnage Rugby Club will have been at their present location for 50 years! We are incredibly lucky to have the support of the club and the use of their amazing facilities; a fabulous car park, breakfast barms, hot and cold drinks, pristine toilets, brilliant banter! We couldn't ask for more. Furthermore, In nine years time, Burnage Rugby Club will officially be 100 years old! Let's help the club celebrate their milestones as we continue to support each other and keep our fabulous partnership growing for many years to come.

209 of you went round a rather soggy-under-foot Burnage today - supported by 33 fab volunteers

We welcomed 8 brand new parkrunners to the fold today.

There was some milestones and round numbers today.

Congratulations goes to Nicholas Rank, who did his 250th parkrun.

A massive well done, and thank you goes to Jacqueline Cheetham who joins the V25 volunteer club, who was a marshal and token sorter today.

Today, our Furthest Flung tourists came all the way from Sydney, Australia - Andrew and Eva Blanda.
Eva made Burnage her 150th parkrun. Although not a milestone, a nice round number all the same.

It was nice to meet both of you, and an interview with Calum (along with the Neighbours theme-influenced sing-song) may well feature on a future episode of the parkrun Adventurers podcast - watch this space!

Well done to the 17 of you who pb'd today.

As always, a big thanks goes to all of our volunteers who helped to make today a big success.

One last thing that I wanted to highlight - which was passed to myself on more than one occasion today - was positive feedback about how polite the speedier runners were when overtaking others in the field today. That is great to hear, and an example of what we want to promote at Burnage.

We at Burnage parkrun are very grateful. We are grateful to all of our wonderful volunteers who are helping us to put on our event tomorrow.

Also, we are grateful for how much parkrun can help with our Mental Health - along with our Physical Health.

With World Health Day happening on Saturday, we hope that our community is one that is open to conversations - so that people can feel that they can be heard.

We look forward to our parkrunfamily joining us tomorrow - from whichever part of the world you are from.

It sounds like an alternative version of the the 12 days of Christmas - however you can help bring Christmas early for lots of parkrunners this Saturday by offering to help in one of the roles mentioned above at Burnage parkrun on Saturday morning.

There will be folk on hand in the morning to help guide you through what you need to do.

Well done to everyone who got themselves round the 21k / 13.1 miles of the Manchester Half on Sunday.
It was a wonderful day, and thoroughly well supported.

Now to help you recover, what better way to relive some of those moments around Stretford, Sale and Chorlton, why not come and support at Burnage parkrun this week.

We have a range of roles up for grabs, including lots of marshal spots.

We still also need someone on the First Timers Welcome and Tailwalker roles, if you wanted to take part in the event.

Put your hands in the air if you want to make Burnage parkrun happen this week.

If you're doing Manchester Half this weekend then give your legs a rest and come on down to help.

If you're not doing Manchester Half the same applies.

Every role is required.
