Looking at the weather forecast for this week, the mens teams will be glad they have a match free week βοΈ
The ladies however are not so lucky. The ladies 1st and 3rd teams have away matches so only one home match this week:
- Ladies 2nd team Thurs 4th 6.30pm
If the weather is kind then why not come down and support what promises to be some great tennis. Good luck to all the ladies ππͺπΎ

BPLTC birds!!!
Well it looks like Quack Draker didn't win his duck race, but he is back at the clubhouse with some great ideas of what he needs to work on to smash it out of the park next year! Well done Quack for giving it a go on behalf of the whole club.
And, all this weekend's duck action has brought out the twitcher in us. Look at all these beauties, all within 100m of the clubhouse. We still haven't managed to get any owl or parakeet pics though, even though we see and hear them all the time!
Don't get too close to that nesting goose though!!

And they're off!! Quack Draker is ready to GO in race #2 at 12:25. Honed, trained, sleek and streamlined - he is the one to watch today in Bramhall Park. π¦
If you are waterside - send us your pics/vids!
Good luck to all our junior players today too - they have matches against Brabyns and Croftside. πΎπΎ

We are 100 years old this year!!!
Take a look at some of these amazing photos - including when we won the LTA club of the year in 1971 and Sir Roger Bannister was in attendance at the presentation, the club dance circa 1959, and more pics from the early 1950s.
Big thanks to Sara who remembers waitressing at club events, as a teenager, back in the 70s/80s who sent in these photos.
Please get in touch if you have any photos or memories of the club π

There is a lot going on down at the club this month - the men's and ladies doubles tennis box leagues have commenced, we've improved security and made the clubhouse more easily accessible by our members, distributed our new Members Handbook, and got new signage.
Oh, and did I mention that we have 50+ brand new members joining us this centenary year - across both tennis and pickleball. How fantastic is that?
Our team matches have been really well supported at home - come rain and shine. The bar has been open and the vibes are goooood!
We have even adopted a duck which will be taking part in the Bramhall Duck Race on Sunday 17th May - here is a pic of the duck before its glow-up. We've even got a duck naming competition going on - it's quackers!
Watch this space for exclusive pics of duck v2.0 any day now...

πΎ What a day!! Our Centenary Open Day was everything we hoped for and more!
Every corner of the club was buzzing from start to finish β tennis tasters, pickleball, walking tennis, tea, coffee and homemade cakes (all eaten! π°). The atmosphere was electric and the feedback from visitors was overwhelmingly positive β it really did feel like something special was happening at BPLTC yesterday.
The highlights? Watching complete beginners pick up a racket for the very first time. Seeing seasoned tennis players discover pickleball and absolutely love it π. Meeting so many wonderful new faces who we hope will soon become familiar ones.
A massive thank you to every single one of our brilliant volunteers who gave their time and energy to make the day such a success β your hard work and teamwork made it happen! π
And most importantly β thank you to everyone who came along, gave something different a go and embraced the BPLTC spirit. You made the day! π
The best news of all β around 20 new members signed up on the day! Welcome to the BPLTC family! πΎ
Our half price centenary membership offer is still available for a limited time β so if you missed the Open Day it's not too late!

Ever thought tennis might not be for you? Think again!
At our Open Day on Saturday 18th April we'll be showcasing Walking Tennis at 2pm β a lower impact version of the game that is perfect for anyone who wants to enjoy tennis at a gentler pace.
As the LTA describe it β it's safe, fun and inclusive, and a fantastic way to stay active. Whether you're returning after injury, need a bit more time getting to the ball, or simply want to try tennis without feeling out of your depth β Walking Tennis is for you!
The key differences from regular tennis:
πΎ The ball can bounce twice β giving you more time
πΎ Smaller court and modified equipment available
πΎ No running or jumping required
Our members will be demonstrating the game throughout the day with a dedicated demo at 2pm β come along, watch and have a go!
