And that’s a wrap from Smog Towers for the first ever GSW Traitors!

Normally at this time of year we have a mooch round Stockton doing a treasure hunt but this year we mixed it up a bit.

And honestly this has been way better than we ever expected!
This is only made possible by the people who buy into it, give it a go, know it’s a game, and play their part.

But by god, it’s hard!
You really do trust no one.
And while Saturday started off with laughs galore Sunday went to s**t and got real in no time.
Charley poisoned
Jack Mc murdered
It was worse than the red wedding in game of thrones.
Then the Claire Martin showdown
Claire getting murdered
The amazing Niall capture
The Danny Chap back stab
The great kags gold robbery
And on the final day it didn’t stop

A secret group and alliance to capture a traitor and a final banishment that shook smog towers to its foundations

It’ll be talked about for a very long time
Awards will be given out at the smog Christmas drinks

What a couple of days this has been.

The call outs were flying left and right.
It truly was traitors vs Faithfuls!
If the faithfuls got this one wrong it felt like it was game over.

So evidence (and theories!) were laid down.
And 3 people were up for the chop

Martin
Danny

The faithfuls needed a win
The clock stuck 8

The traitor was found!

Naill played one hell of a game not only for playing his part in the world famous Mcnaughton massacre of 2026 but for also twisting and turning people’s thoughts over and over again!

The remaining people are now in the final with more twists expected.

So we often do stuff to get people chatting, socialising, having a laugh.
This year we have done the Smog traitors!
We are 3 days in.
There has been a poisoning, a murder, a bucket load of laughs and too many memes to share.

It’s been mint to have people who don’t play sport involved it’s been class seeing people come out of their shells and get involved

Watch this space for what goes on!

Final reveal on the NE 26/27 squad!

Vince - Back after a very long injury. Will be good to see him on court again.

Nath - squad support with his focus being Durham league. Has improved massively over the last season and will be looking to continue that on again.

Mike B - Another one coming back from a long lay off. More than capable centre when back to full fitness

Prem - Second season back from injury. Fitness building all the time. Very dependable at both ends of the court.

Luke - Bags of potential, expecting a big season from him!

And that’s the lot!

Season starts in just over a week.
Preseason has looked good.

Players!!

Boomer - only started playing when we formed the club. Has come on leaps and bounds!
Kags - Improving all the time and enjoying herself doing it. Ended last season with a cheeky little basket in the play off final.
Ethan - New to Smog. Loads of potential. Will be good watching him grow this season.
Poppy - Will go toe to toe with anyone. Fully suited to Mixed basketball. Has a tidy shot from mid range too!
