Training becomes even more important as we get older.
After 50, 60 and beyond, training is not just about looking fit.
It helps us maintain muscle strength, mobility, balance and cardiovascular fitness — all things that become increasingly important for staying active and independent as we age. Regular physical activity is also associated with a lower risk of cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes and falls.
A lot of people simply don’t realise how much their physical condition can affect everyday life later on. And sometimes we only start paying attention when strength, mobility or balance have already declined.
The good thing is that it’s never too late to learn more about your body and start doing something about it.
Read, learn, ask questions. Talk to a good doctor or a knowledgeable fitness professional.
And most importantly — take some responsibility for your own body.
You don’t need to become an athlete. You just need to keep moving, keep your muscles working and give your body some attention🙌
John is a good example of that. 💪
