𝙏𝙃𝙀 𝙍𝙊𝘼𝘿 𝙏𝙊 𝙒𝙀𝙈𝘽𝙇𝙀𝙔

The draw for the Third Qualifying Round of the Women's FA Cup has taken place this afternoon. We start our 2026/27 FA Cup journey with a home fixture as we welcome Salford City Lionesses to Teesside.

The game is due to be played on Sunday 4th October 2026 with full details to be confirmed in due course.

𝗣𝗟𝗔𝗬𝗘𝗥 𝗣𝗔𝗧𝗛𝗪𝗔𝗬

Today saw another of our talented young players make the transition from our junior section to the senior section.

Jess Cassidy from our Under 18s made her first senior appearance for the Reserves in this afternoons 3-1 win against Washington. Having only turned 16 at the start of September, Jess now becomes the sixth player from our current U18s squad to have featured for the senior section this season.

This is not only a fantastic achievement for Jess, who has been at the club all the way from U8s, but a huge credit to the junior section at the club for providing a positive pathway into senior football.

Congratulations on your first appearance Jess, we look forward to seeing you in the Amber and Black for the foreseeable future.

GOOD AFTERNOON ALL ROUND!

It’s been a fantastic afternoon for the Norton, with both the First Team and Reserves picking up three points!

The Reserves put in a strong performance against Washington AFC, Shannon Reed opened the scoring before the visitors equalised. Two goals in the second half from Anna McArthur and Neve Pawlett secured the points.

A well-earned three points and another positive afternoon for the Ressies!

FULL TIME

Much better second half from Norton as goals from Sacha Millward and Bianca Owens secure all three points against Blackburn Rovers, along with a clean sheet to round off the afternoon.

A fairly even opening 45, but Norton have had the better of the chances and lead at the break through Sacha Millward’s 12th-minute strike.

More clinical in the final third needed in the second half.

For the third consecutive game we are in home action. Just like last weekend it’s FA Women's National League action as look to build on last weeks well earned point with a strong battling performance against AFC Fylde.

Blackburn Rovers WFC are the visitors to Teesside this afternoon. With the Lancashire side making the trip to Norton Sports Charity located in the Civil Parish of Norton on Tees, which is around 7 miles northwest of Middlesbrough for those travelling from the North West. The visitors are also on 4 points following a 4-3 win away at Durham Cestria and a point at home against York City. With defeats to Bradford City and Halifax following the points gained in the opening two games.

Reminder that we have Bohdi in attendance this afternoon and he is running his 68th mile as he takes on his 100 miles at 100 clubs challenge to rise money for three fantastic charities. Get along and support both Bohdi and the team with entry for adults is £6 and concessions £3. For those who can’t make it follow along on X.

𝗠𝗔𝗧𝗖𝗛 𝗗𝗔𝗬

It’s the final home game of the month for the Reserves as they take to the pitch for the third time in the 2026/27 North East Regional Women’s Football League Northern Division.

We have started the season brightly with an excellent 3-0 win on the road at Hartlepool, followed by a 5-3 home win against North Shields. Today we look to continue that form but know we can’t be complacent as we host Washington at Station Road.
