Over the last few years, our club has continued to grow both on and off the pitch. Our First Team compete in the FA Women’s National League, while our Reserves play in the North East Regional Women’s Football League, and our ground regularly hosts county cup finals and schools’ football throughout the season.

Thanks to recent investment, we’ve installed a brand-new perimeter fence, creating a fantastic opportunity for businesses to advertise in front of players, supporters, families and visitors every week.

𝗧𝗘𝗔𝗠 𝗢𝗙 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗦𝗘𝗔𝗦𝗢𝗡

Since71 Blog have compiled their 2025-26 FA Women's National League Division One North Team of the Season. We are delighted that our record breaking season has been acknowledged with 3 players making it into the squad of 16, more than any other team in the league.

Vicki Burton entered the season the fittest she has been and that showed in her performances and she was quicker, stronger and more powerful than ever before. The improved Vicki was able to support in a season which we conceded the fewest ever goals against in our time in the FAWNL.

Bianca Owens is a goal scorer, last season she bagged 18 goals in FAWNL. Them goals saw her top the scoring chart for the league and win the league golden boot, where she recently recognised at the league awards at Wembley Stadium.

Our final spot in the squad goes to Louise Atkinson. The player who came through the junior ranks, in her second year back at the club following her studies in the United States had an excellent season. Scoring 10 goals as well as 3 assists in the league whilst picking up 6 Opposition Player of the Match awards.

Congratulations to the three players who have made the Team of the Season, but also to the full squad who played a part in our record breaking campaign.

𝗨𝗡𝗗𝗘𝗥 𝟭𝟴 𝗢𝗣𝗘𝗡 𝗦𝗘𝗦𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦

While it’s only one week until we start with the open sessions for the senior sides, our Under 18s are holding trials and are looking for Year 11 and Year 12 players to strengthen what is already a fantastic group.

Last season we established a clear player development pathway for our Under 16s, and we're continuing that vision. We are committed to providing by providing ambitious young players with the opportunity to progress into our senior set up throughout the coming season.

For the 2026/27 season, we will be competing in the RFYL, a league we believe provides the best environment for player development. The current squad is made up of a majority of players playing up at least one year to enhance their development and once they turn 16 and are ready, transition into our senior section before the end of the season.

Our senior sides currently compete in Tier 4 (FAWNL) and Tier 6 (NERWFL) which allows us to deliver a genuine pathway into senior football at a high standard while progressing with the club.

To further support that progression, our Under 18s are led by Chris, First Team Manager and Graeme, Reserve Team Manager. This allows us to ensure players receive consistent coaching and a seamless transition into senior football.

As well as confirming the FAWNL teams that the first team will be playing against next season, The FA have also confirmed our Reserves opponents in the 2026/27 NERWFL.

Last season saw a lot of development of younger players coming through the U18s into the senior set up and we look forward to continued development of younger players alongside the experienced players within the squad to become a competitive team in the league next season.

Thanks to all our sponsors, spectators and players who came along to our end of season awards on Friday evening. This provided an opportunity to celebrate the successes both on and off the pitch during the 2025-26 season.

The evening started with thanking our sponsors, coaches and volunteers for their support throughout the campaign. We then moved on to the awards for the two senior sides going through the seasons for both the Reserves and First Team and then handing out the club awards.

𝗙𝗔𝗪𝗡𝗟 𝗔𝗪𝗔𝗥𝗗𝗦

Today marked the celebration of the 2025/26 FA Women's National League Season as the League Awards were held at Wembley Stadium before the Adobe Women's FA Cup Final.

Our captain, and top scorer, Bianca Owens made the trip to the capital to pick up her award as Division One North Top Scorer. Bianca scored 18 goals in the FAWNL this season, which was enough to see her clinch the title. This is the second time she has picked up the award in the Amber and Black of Norton, previously winning the award in 2018/19.
