We are happy to support the Butterwick Hospice in their festive food hamper collection!

From until Wednesday 28th October, we will be collecting donations of the below:

🍮 Christmas puddings
🍪 Boxes/tubes of biscuits – such as Fox’s
🍬 Tubs or boxes of sweets – such as Fruit Pastilles
🎄 Christmas selection boxes
🥧 Mince pies

We know just how generous our community is, but we also recognise that times are tough for many people at the moment. There is absolutely no pressure to donate, but if you are able to pick up an extra item or two while doing your shopping, every donation will help make a difference for the Butterwick!

Look out for some charity fundraisers, with a charity basketball match and badminton tournament to help with donations and an open weekend in the gym with some fun challenges!

Our friends over at are joining forces with us in support of the Butterwick!

Another really successful ‘Just Play’ community football session 🙌🙌

Some really good football being played and it’s so great to see everyone enjoy themselves 💪 even though the wind was a nightmare!! 💨

Over 20 people down tonight with 3 different teams 👀⚽️

Hope everyone had a great session and it’s so great to see some new faces to the session tonight 🤗

Today's the day! Charlotte and George are running the GNR in aid of ! Good luck to both and also a good luck and thank you to Amy who has supported and organised the places with the team.

What an achievement and in the words of Charlotte 'never again' 🤣 although I'm sure once she is passed the finish line the aches and pains will be worth while!

Another Community ‘Just Play’ football session ticked off this evening 🙌⚽️

Around 25 people turning up this evening with plenty of familiar faces alongside some new faces aswell!

Well done everyone this evening! Some excellent football being played from all teams leading to some really really close to call games 👀⚽️

Thank you Golden Smog Warriors for organising this morning!

A great effort from everyone and some amazing volleyball skills on show 🏐

Thank you for everyone’s support in getting George and Charlotte to their donation target! Only one week to go until the Great North Run now 😬

Top morning of Volleyball over at Queens!

Firstly big kudos to Steel River Stingrays for putting down the 🏈 and picking up the 🏐 and giving this a go!
They all got stick in, communication from them was on point and as the games went on they got better and better!
Well done all!

Then we had Mike turn up for a game, Mike plays at the Friday social session at queens on a Friday and wanted to have a run with Smog and of course he was welcomed in, given a kit and fit right in from the word go.
He’s also 79 years old!! Amazing.
Well done Mike!

And finally North Tees volleyball team who as ever play brilliantly but also cheer on everyone else no matter the team. We love playing the games we do vs them.

Shout out to Peri for letting us have the comp at queens this morning

And all the money raised go to George and Charlotte from Queen’s who are running the great north run for disability North.

So nice to see a relaxed atmosphere where everyone plays with a smile on their face and focus on playing some fantastic football 💥

We are so proud to share our 360° virtual tour of our Sports Centre.

The tour is now available to help visitors feel more comfortable before arriving and check out the facilities we have on offer.

These tours highlight key accessibility features: including adaptable gym equipment, car parking and changing facilities and are designed to support anyone who may benefit from seeing the space in advance.

Created and funded by Sport England Place Partnership Project, Active Stockton-on-Tees, Tees Valley Sport and shaped by input from local community stakeholders, the tours aim to reflect a wide range of needs and experiences. Every person is different, and whether the need is big or small, the goal is to make each visit more welcoming.
