Nobodies arsed about how much I weigh, but for me this is a massive win, considering how I was mentally and physically 8 weeks ago.

In a job that wasn’t right for me, overwhelmed with the same day to day tasks that don’t usually bother me, having to eat what I’m given without knowing what the hidden calories were and adding to my stress and anxiety while trying to strive for results.

Fast forward to now, in a job that is better suited to me, in control of what I eat daily, more energy, happier all round, and taking care of the day to day tasks with ease.

The thing is, I have stuck to plan, haven’t missed a session, showed up on my hardest days when I was fatigued, kept a daily routine, kept my good daily habits in check, and now it’s paying off.

I’m not going to claim that I have been perfect, but who is? However now that time is ticking there is no room for error.

This means, saying β€œNo” to the things that don’t serve my goals.

It means avoiding environments and the temptations that those environments bring hand in hand which don’t serve my goals.

It means sticking to the plan, ticking the boxes, and staying laser focused on the task at hand… πƒπˆπ’π‚πˆππ‹πˆππ„.

The fundamentals outside of the gym for me are:
Sleep, Steps, Recovery, Hydration, and Food prep… π‚πŽππ’πˆπ’π“π„ππ‚π˜.

As long as these are taken care of, I know that everything else takes care of itself.

Might I also add that I’ve surrounded myself with a solid team and support circle, this is VITAL for me.

Having people around you who support you without judgement, just gives you that extra reassurance, mental stability, an outlet for the emotions on tough days, and the positive reinforcement that you need when going for something you want to achieve.

I’m now into my prep for what will be my biggest ever achievement since starting my fitness journey 7 years ago, I’ve never been more ready for anything in my entire life, and I’ll be keeping you all updated in the weeks and months to come.

It’s go time.

End of an era…

James came to me when I first started online coaching in 2024 and was one of the first clients on the BHF programme.

He had a goal of simply building muscle losing fat, getting fitter, and building his confidence over the course of 12 weeks.

12 weeks turned into 12 months, which gave us time to achieve all of these goals and then some.

Now although to some people, 9kg over the course of a year may not seem a lot, however, the scales are showing one metric of the work put in by James and not the full picture of sheer determination and dedication to the cause.

He has built a lot of lean muscle mass progressed his strength to an incredible level, and is now a lot fitter than when he started.

His journey hasn’t been as straightforward as you would think, he lives a busy lifestyle, works offshore, has had limited food and gym resources at times, then when he’s home he lives a very sociable life.

We needed to find a balance and structure that worked around the lifestyle he leads, and we did just that.

James had calorie targets, macro targets, steps goals and a solid training programme in place which was bespoke to him and his goals.

He has also reached a new level confidence.

James has dropped a T-shirt size and TWO jean sizes in his time with me.

He has now got new eating habits, he knows what serves his goals and what doesn’t , he will take these habits with him on the rest of his journey.

We got there in the end bro, and thank you for having the trust in me, and the process on this part of your journey.

❌ π’π“πŽπ π‡πŽπ‹πƒπˆππ† 𝐎𝐍, 𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐄’𝐒 π–π‡π˜!

Most days I see people absolutely sending it on the treadmill (Fair play), BUT what I also see is that they are holding on to the rails or the handles at the front.

If this is you, you need to avoid this and here’s why.

By setting the treadmill up for an incline walk, say 10% incline and 5-6kmph speed for 20 mins, you are more than likely aiming for fat loss or a quick cal burn.

I regularly use these settings 1-3 times a week and aim for 20 mins minimum, some days up to 45mins depending on whether it’s around leg days or not.

I opt for this exercise simply for the following benefits:

- IT’S LOW IMPACT AND JOINT FRIENDLY 🦡🏼

- IT HAS A HIGH ENERGY OUTPUT FOR TIME RATIO MEANING YOU BURN MORE CALS IN LESS TIME.

- IMPROVES STAMINA πŸ”‹βš‘οΈ

- GIVES THE GLUTES A CHEEKY BURN πŸ‘

- ITS A VERSATILE EXERCISE AND IS IDEAL FOR ACTIVE REST DAYS. πŸšΆβ€β™‚οΈβ€βž‘οΈ

Now I’m not completely demonising holding on.

What I will say is that by holding on you are taking out the whole concept of an incline walk.

Think of it as if you were walking up a hill, you wouldn’t usually have a bar to pull you up it would you?.

If you have to hold on, maybe slow down so that you don’t have to hold on at all or reduce the incline gradient and build your tolerance up over time.

Try and avoid putting all the time into the workout and not reaping the full rewards from it.

Time for reflection, so here’s 12 months of Check in photos.

Instead of looking forward, Ive taken time out to look back at what a year it has been regarding my fitness journey.

As you can see there was a lot of work to do at the start of the year, but I had a vision and I made it a reality.

There was a holiday to prep for in June, then after that there was a holiday in September, and then after that it was a photoshoot.

I have put my body through a hell of a lot this year, but I’ve enjoyed the ride.

It certainly hasn’t been an easy one as there was a bit of damage to undo from the holidays, social events, periods of being ill, and then just the general ups and downs in life.

Looking back at the start of the year my mental state took a bit of a hit, but I had goals to reach which kept me motivated, and most of all the accountability factor by having a coach helped massively.

Im very proud of my achievements this year, but I know next year I’m going into it with a completely different mindset as I aim to take things to a whole new level.

I’m enjoying the downtime now, eating what I want when I want, being social, making memories, and making the most of the festive period.

I could write a hell of a lot about the feelings that I have when I look at this picture but the picture speaks for itself, and I am immensely proud of this.

There’s always times like this where I realise just how mental my journey has been.

The photo on the right shows me in the exact pair of trousers that I currently fit into 1 leg of today! πŸ˜‚.

Them trousers are 44inch waist… my width was almost the same as my height!.

No need for speeches, no long arse captions today, but let me tell you this…

There is never a bad time to start, but the best time to start is NOW!.

Most people do the generic β€œdiet starts Monday”, but for me and we like to start our clients on a Friday.

My coach starts me on a Friday, and Toms coach did the same with him too.

The reason for this is to simply keep you in line with your goals and progress across the weekend where it’s all too easy to overindulge on comfort food, alcohol, snacks and all things naughty.

In this clip we chat about our reasons behind the method and the importance of having a coach, which is essentially the best way to manage your calories throughout the week.

𝐓𝐇𝐄 πˆπŒππŽπ‘π“π€ππ‚π„ πŽπ… π‡π€π•πˆππ† π†πŽπ€π‹π’

Back in the day I used to have to shop in Jacamo buying size XXL shirts and 44” waist trousers.

I used to be dripping with sweat just trying clothes on, and let me tell you, real tears were shed purely down to embarrassment, frustration, and not to mention the price tags.

I used to sweat just walking up two flights of stairs in my house, then needing taking a breather on the bed to catch my breath back and calm down before I got to do what I needed to do.

I needed a way out of that lifestyle real BAD! and at one point in time back in October 2017 I even contemplated su***de, yes su***de, I thought it was the only way out.

This all changed when I found my love for fitness, I set myself some goals and targets, hit them, and proceeded to set bigger goals and targets and hit them and so on.

This would set me up for life and is still something I’m doing now.

It never ends because there’s always something higher to aim for no matter what it is. Whether it’s fitness goals, life goals, or just something you want to progress in like your business, or be able to spend more time doing the things you love.

Without setting goals or having something to aim for, we would all stay exactly where we are, and we most certainly won’t get the results that we want, simply because a lot of the time we stay in our comfort zone.

So if you’re reading this right now and you’re not happy with where you are, set some small goals and targets, set a deadline, achieve what you set out to do, then rinse and repeat… your life will change forever.

For those of you that know me personally, you will know this story well, but for those of you that don’t know me, this is where it all began.

March 6th 2018, being given the ultimatum of β€œsort yourself out or you might not be here in 6 months time” by a doctor, sure as hell lit the fire inside of me.

Them words ring in my ears every single day when I head to a workout. It spurs me on, reminds me of the journey I’ve been on, keeps me sharp between the ears when making rash decisions, or just when I forget how life could have turned out if I wasn’t the way I am now.

Since that day, I have grown into a different person, I’m still me of course, but my outlook on life is night and day from those days, and this is why I am helping others do the same.

If you’re overweight, have underlying health issues, struggle to get out of bed on a morning or play in the park with your kids I can help. If you struggle with food and make poor daily choices, don’t know where to start, or need that kick up the arse then I can help and this video is definitely for you.

The journey I have had so far is such a significant tool in the way that I coach my clients.

All of these issues are a result of a poor lifestyle, poor habits and the lack of knowledge with fitness and nutrition.
