🕊The releasing of a dove or several doves is very personal and means different things to different families.
Whichever package you decide, we will discuss with you how you want the doves presented eg in cages or baskets, with flowers or without, and how you wish to release the doves, eg chosen family members or we can do it for you. If you wish to handle the doves to release yourselves, don’t worry, we hand you the dove and make sure you and the dove are comfortable before we begin.
It is your last tribute to the soul of your dearly departed. These types of white dove releases can be done at the graveside, cemetery chapel, funeral home, or an appropriate location of your choosing.

How do they know where "home" is?
Apart from being given thorough training from an early age, the "homing instinct" seems to be just that - an instinct. Nobody really knows exactly just how they do it, but they must be the right type of bird, fit, healthy and well trained to start with.
How far can they fly?
A well trained healthy bird can fly up to 600 miles. However, we try to limit the releases to within approximately a 50 mile radius of their home, but we have relased further a field and all the doves returned home safely.
