Massive well done to our U11s and U13s who played on the same day at the final fixture day of Shrewsbury CVL league.

This has been a great experience for the development of our players and has also enabled a mix of ages playing together - with some of our U12s playing up into the U14s league. The children have thoroughly enjoyed it!!

𝗔 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗱 𝗺𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 for our Northwood Valiants U14s White team as they took to the court in the WGN Final against a very strong Smethwick Sparks side.

It wasn’t meant to be on the day, but that doesn’t take away from what has been an incredible journey. The team showed real character, stuck together, and competed all the way.

The game ended on a high, with the boys embracing the moment and simply enjoying the occasion, exactly what the sport is all about.

Two finals in two years is a testament to this team.

And fittingly, their efforts across the season were recognised as they were awarded 𝐌𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐝 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐦 for their consistency and significant improvement. 💪

The end of an era for this U14s group, with many having played together for 2–3 years... plenty to be proud of as they move on next season.

This result also rounds off a great WGN campaign for Northwood Valiants:

To be playing in a 3rd place playoff on finals day is an amazing achievement - and not something many would have expected at the start of the season.

Those early results were tough, but from February onwards things really started to turn. Wins began to come, performances tightened up, and even in the bigger games the team kept showing up and competing.

Today was another example of that. It was level for much of the first half and a really close game, before Hustlers managed to push on in the second half. But the fight and togetherness never dropped.

𝘖𝘶𝘳 𝘧𝘪𝘳𝘴𝘵 𝘨𝘢𝘮𝘦 𝘷𝘴 𝘏𝘶𝘴𝘵𝘭𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘉𝘭𝘢𝘤𝘬 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘢 𝘭𝘰𝘴𝘴 𝘢𝘵 71-30, 𝘺𝘦𝘵 𝘵𝘰𝘥𝘢𝘺 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘧𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘴𝘤𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘦 𝘢𝘨𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘴𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘢𝘮𝘦 𝘵𝘦𝘢𝘮 𝘸𝘢𝘴 52-39 👌

From a rebuild at the start of the season, to where they’ve finished, the progress has been huge. You can really see how much they’ve grown and come together over the season.
