So today it was gatehouse away and after a few last minute changes the game began and from the off you could see it was going to be a good game
Plaza were making all the the running early on and deservedly took the lead after 18 mins when Tristan received the ball just inside the area with back to goal lifted it over his own and the keepers head for 0-1
Tristan then should of had a peno when 1v1 with the keeper he went around him keeper made contact and Tristan went down ref said no peno the keeper was trying to play the ball 👏👏
He didn’t have wait long though cuz almost straight away he scored to make it 0-2
The next goal came for the home side as a left footed in swinging corner managed to beat the plaza keeper under pressure 1-2

Second half started like the first with plaza continuing to take the game to our hosts and it was gatehouse who struck next with a long Ball over the top keeper came then stopped and Alex Mayer wasn’t close enough to challenge and the forward just lifted over the keeper 2-2
But the equaliser was short lived as a corner from our left was flicked on at the near post and Rossi was there to head home 2-3
Then just 5 mins later virtually carbon copy goal with once again Rossi was there to finish 2-4
The last goal went to gatehouse as Sam managed to catch the attacker as he entered the box which the ref gave and they coolly slotted it home 3-4 with just 8 mins left
Plaza carried on with there game our hosts tried and had 1 good chance at the end with the player kneeing over from close range

Today the plaza went to Norton Social, hoping to right our wrongs from the reverse fixture where Norton came out 13-4 winners.

Game started brightly for the plaza when Steve baker gave us the lead, quickly muted by a Norton goal from a set piece.

But Plaza didn’t put their heads firing 4 quick goals in from Rossi, Percy, Steve and Tristan to go 5-1 up, a defensive lapse from Dean and CB turned GK Jamo gave Norton a way back in, 5-2 HT

The second half was much more scrappy, with the first bit of heat definitely having an effect on the side, but it was Percy who took advantage to score 2 goals and get his hat trick. The rest of the half was a rough affair with some big challenges and some head losses from both sides, but it was a late penalty for the plaza where Clubman of the year Alex Hallsworth to provide the worst penalty in Sunday league history, only to follow on the rebound and smash it in for the game to finish 8-2

Great game for the plaza on a late resurgence to the top of the table.

MOTM - Macca Hall, after been told he’s played s**t all season by his team he’s turned a corner as of late

So the match today was castle inn at home and with the visitors upturn in form it wasn’t going to be an easy game

The game started with plaza on top and after a fine move Rossi fired in low only for there keeper to get down well and save

Attempts were coming thick and fast and after several fine saves from there keeper we went in at the break 0-0

The second half started a lot more even with both sides looking dangerous but it was plaza with the first goal when Jono baker did well down the left and his strike was deflected past the keeper at the near post 1-0

It took just 3 minutes for them to level as a long ball over the top and the keeper rushing out to clear then managed to strike the ball at his own player to leave the striker with a tap in 1-1

Both teams then were trying for the winner and plaza missing chance after chance but the winner did come through Bobby after a mix up in the area the ball bobbled to Bobby who let fly with his weaker left foot into the top corner with only minutes remaining 2-1

Mom Bobby kept there best player quiet all game and scored the winner

So today it was white hart hvpr and with the game starting pretty even but it was plaza with the first goal Tristan with the finish we then had to wait 17 mins as plaza missed chances to extend there lead
Goal number 2 came from Tristan again put through by Ross 0-2
Goal number 3 came from Ross as plaza extend there lead 0-3

Goal number 4 came from a good passage of play and after Macca hit the bar Bobby was there to smash home 0-4
Goal number 5 came from little Ben with a chipped finish

Goal number 6 came from Ross again as he tries catch Tristan in the goal scoring stats
Goal number 7 was Tristan’s as a ball into the box was easily tapped home

So today it was tb Williamson cup action and in true plaza style no keeper again
So the game starts and it’s 50/50 for the first few mins as the teams try figure it out and with just 6 mins gone it’s a good ball in and it’s Little Ben who heads yes heads the ball home 0-1
Plaza now on the front foot and it’s only 2 mins later that Macca makes it 0-2
Our hosts the decided make a game of it and 5 mins later pulled 1 back as plaza failed to clear then just 2 mins later it was 2-2 as mistakes were creeping in
Plaza then rallied and and it was Jono with the finish to make it 2-3 and 8 mins later it was Ross making it 2-4
But bellringer weren’t finished and just 4 mins b4 halftime they pulled a goal back 3-4 and just minutes later it was 4-4 as plaza implode again

The second half started with bellringer on top andnplaza happy to hit on the break and with both teams trading chances it was Rossi with the breakthrough to make it 4-5 and after plaza sank deeper and deeper it was with the last kick of the game that crushed plazas hopes as our hosts made it 5-5

So it was butt lane at home today and with all the rain it was always going be a slippy 1 and after the early exchanges it was anyone’s game with both keepers making decent saves
The first goal came after just 15 mins with cb Deano going on a mazy run and a couple of 1 2s and he was in to delightfully lift the ball over the advancing keeper from the edge of the box 1-0
1-0 soon became 1-1 as plaza failed to intercept a through ball and the striker finished well 1-1
After abit of a goalmouth scramble it was Jono who with the ball at his feet turned well and fired home from close range 2-1

The second half started and it was the visitors on top and it was only a matter of time until the scores would be 2-2 as plaza got caught with men forward and a quick break then a deflected shot beat Nath in goal 2-2
Plaza after being pegged back now decided to step up and took control of the game and after Tristan had had a goal chalked off for a dubious offside it was left to plaza to force a third and did when the defender sliced into his own net from close range 3-2
The fourth came from Tristan after more good play from plaza and at this point we’re looking good more goals too 4-2
Number 5 came from a direct fk with Ross Robson stepping up to curl a low shot around the wall and into the bottom corner 5-2
5 became 6 when Ross managed to do the exact same fk into the same corner from more or less the same place 6-2 bet the keeper was mad 😂😂

Ft 6-2 mom Rossi/dean dean super again and Rossi with those fk big shout out to Nath as well some took saves today

Today it was away ba afc Stafford and with a bumpy pitch the game got going and with not much action in the first 20 it was the plaza keeper who was the most busy pulling of a triple save to keep the score level

That didn’t last long as on 27 mins Stafford score to make it 1-0

It was just 8 mins later and the score was doubled 2-0

Just two minutes later a cross into the box and it was Tristan getting his head there and pulling a goal back 2-1

Second half started and it was plaza looking the more likely with Stafford’s keeper making some good saves

Just 5 mins into the second half and it was persie with the volley that flew into the corner

We then entered a phase in play where the ball was in the air more than on the floor and with both sides looking for the winner it was dean crossland with a mazy run from defence and with the ball at his feet managed to ping it right footed into the top left corner 2-3
Now with just 15 mins go plaza set up to be bombarded with long throws and balls in the box but the lads stood firm and played out the win

So today it was league action and Linley tav at home and with the game kicking off bang on time it was plaza making the running early on and with 15 mins gone it was Jono with the goal
1-0
It was then 15 mins later after several missed chances it was Ross Robson with the finish to make it 2-0
Then just 3 mins later he was there again to make it 3-0

It took nearly 25 mins in the second half but it was plaza again and this time Jono with the finish 4-0
Next goal fell to Macca after several chances turned with his back to goal and fired home 5-0
The last goal fell to Linley with a cross shot some how finding its way in beyond the sliding foot of Dan racing back to clear 5-1

So today after a mauling last time out it was coach and horses away in the cup and after a pretty even start it was coach with the first chance a free header which the keeper saved well
It was then plaza and Tristan with a turn and shot just wide
Then with just about 7 mins left of the half a cross into the box and it was Steve baker with the headed finish
Just 2 mins later and it was 2 Tristan holding the ball up and feeding Ross Robson who smashed it past the keeper 0-2
The next action saw Jamie Pickin pulled up for a tug on there player clearly outside the box tbh but ref pointed to the spot and the coach player fired it in 1-2

The second half started with coach looking to level it up and they soon did with a cross come shot that flew in bottom corner 2-2

That kicked plaza into gear and with chances coming and going for both sides plaza then stepped it up a gear and just 5 mins later Tristan turned and fired high and hard giving the keeper no chance 2-3
It was then 14 mins b4 a real threat and it was Steve again dancing in from the right and striking a bouncing ball that flew past the keeper 2-4
With coach chucking men forward plaza made a couple of changes and it wasn’t long with some good play and the ball finding its way to Tristan who held of a couple of players b4 squaring to Bobby who finished with a fine guided effort to the bottom right corner

Plaza then saw out the game in typical combative style

Mom Jono put in a big shift this week

Today it was castle inn away and with the heavy rain it was going to be a wet 1
Plaza started the game well and it wasn’t long before Alex Mayer gave them the lead with a fine finish 0-1
The second soon followed with their keeper clearing the ball to Ross Robson who then finished over the keeper 0-2
It was the castles turn and the striker finished well

The second half started and both sides looking to score and after several missed opportunities just like the first half it was a great move that lead to Jonathan baker sliding home 1-3

With a few changes sorry Danny plaza looked to tighten things up and looked good for the win but it was castle who struck last with the last kick of the game 2-3

Too many missed chances today but did well to get the win

Although there is still the Grand Final remaining of the 2024 Series it's time to get everything in place for next years Series.

Entry fees have risen by £10 to £170 and prize money increased to go with it. As long as all money is collected the prize money will increase further and if we get the 64 like this year we will pay down to the last 16.

If 'you' sell it then you can keep the money, if you instruct 'me' to sell it then this will be added to the prize fund.

Top 16 will be seeded for the Grand Final (double money) and you must play two events to qualify for this.
