2 personnel changes from that game as Izzy makes her debut and Ethan returns to the XI. Meanwhile, Alec is primed and ready to take the gloves with Jim away with work commitments.

A frustrating day in the Malvern Hills as we go down by 140 runs to and the Handsaker brothers who had good days out!

After the false start 2 weeks ago, we are finally getting our season started tomorrow as we travel down to Colwall CC to take on 2's! After last year's close defeat, we're looking to put on a better display this time around and take home the victory!

Despite all the weather over the last few weeks, the cricket season is here! We get our BUCS season underway tomorrow down at Aston Manor CC, where we will be taking on in what we hope will be a great game!

Our final player of this year’s 2024 Varsity squad is the only change to last year’s winning team. Max, in his first year with us, has massively impressed us with his work ethic in training and the indoor matches in Birmingham, and thoroughly deserves his place in the team. Here’s hoping he can bring that something extra to boost the team!

Less than a week away from Varsity now, and with that, we bring you our fifth player profile!
Warbs, like Tatts and Jimmy, fitted seamlessly into Uni cricket during his first season with us last year, scoring a fantastic 83 against Loughborough and delivering some fine displays with the ball too! There is much more of that to come over the next year or so we hope!

Another day, another player profile! Tatts was a great addition to the squad last season, regularly taking wickets in crucial moments! Handy in the field too, his only downside is that he sadly bats left-handed... (someone has to)
Fingers crossed he provides once again this year!

The third player to be announced for this year's Varsity squad is our keeper & social sec, James Wright!
A handy batsman alongside his superb glovework, Jimmy became a hugely valuable player in his first year, notably steering us to victory away at Birmingham during the outdoor season.
Seems to be a common theme amongst the lads so far in that last year's Varsity win is their favourite moment of their Uni careers and Jim is looking for us to go back-to-back-to-back!

With Varsity next week, it's time to reveal the next member of the team that'll be undertaking the task of defending our crown!
Current SUCC President Dean took the time to talk to one of his predecessors, Charlie, about his career for the mighty Squirrels of Haslington CC and his time at Staffs UCC. The scorer of our first 50 since our reformation, he has often chipped in with valuable runs (and the odd wicket) over his 3 years here!

With just over a month to go until Varsity, ex club president Charlie Reece sat down and interviewed the skipper, this being his second year leading the lads out. This years varsity team will be announced in the coming weeks🖤❤️
