NEW TRAINING PHASE IN OUR HYROX CLASSES

With the HYROX season now over, we’re moving into Phase 1 of training: Building our Base.

Over the next few weeks our classes will focus on:

✅ Aerobic Base
✅ Strength Development
✅ General Fitness

Why? Because staying in race mode all year isn’t the best way to improve.

Training at HYROX race intensity 12 months a year can lead to

❌ Burnout
❌ Increased injury risk
❌ Fatigue
❌ Performance plateaus

The best athletes and coaches periodise their training, meaning they train in phases throughout the year. Right now, we’re building the foundations for an even stronger race season ahead.

HYROX is an aerobic sport. A bigger engine means you recover faster, maintain pace better, and finish stronger.

Strength is equally important. Getting stronger makes sleds, carries, and all stations feel easier while also reducing injury risk.

So, classes may look a little different. Expect:

• More structured strength work
• Longer aerobic pieces
• Technique and movement focus
• Slightly lower intensity on some days

Remember: lower intensity doesn’t mean easier. We’re building the foundations for long-term progress and better race performances.

This session is focused on developing your “engine” the ability to sustain high performance over time without burning out. HYROX isn’t just about strength or running… it’s about combining both efficiently under fatigue
