Nichola Meaney at Class in Cakes

It feels a little strange, but also really good, packing up the studio.

This is where all the magic has happened over the last 11 years I’ve lived here. Looking around, it’s quite frightening to think just how much “stuff” I’ve collected and given away over the years… and how much it all cost! 😂

The good news is that almost everything you can see and more is going to a lovely cake maker who also happens to be a good friend. It’s so nice knowing it’s all going to someone who’ll put it to great use, and I’m sure she’ll create some wonderful cakes with it all Tracey Coxon

I’m just keeping back a few essentials to finish the last couple of orders I’ve got left, and then that’ll be it.

I do have a spare oven and a tall larder fridge for sale at a bargain price, so if anyone is looking for either, just drop me a message. Everything else has already found a new home, even the walls. 💕

I’ll be closing this page down in a couple of weeks, so I just wanted to say a heartfelt thank you to every single person who has followed, supported, recommended, liked, shared, ordered from me, attended a class or workshop, or simply cheered me on over the past 14 years.

Your support has meant more than you’ll ever know and has allowed me to do a job I truly loved, creating so many special memories along the way.

While this chapter is coming to an end, I’m incredibly grateful for the journey, the friendships I’ve made, and for every one of you who has been part of it.

This was adapted slightly from one of my own creations that I showcased at one of my wedding fairs. I absolutely love seeing couples take inspiration from my work and make it their own.

Hellooooo! Apparently Facebook thinks it’s been far too long since my last post, so I’m guessing it must be missing me 😆

It’s been very quiet on the cake front recently with no wedding orders to complete… and then, just like buses, two come along at once next week!

We’ve been busy decorating the house the last few weeks and getting everything ready for some exciting personal changes next year. It feels so good to finally have the time to focus on ourselves properly again after being so busy for far too long. Loving this slower pace and the chance to recharge a little. ✨

It’s sad knowing that this was the final time for me creating this design and delivering to this venue and they’ve both been my favourite for over 13 years. A piece that has evolved with me, each one uniquely crafted, growing in beauty and detail every time. It’s been a true labour of love 🥰 🖤🤍.
