Our pre season is now complete.

Today saw us have a strong squad of 17 available and achieve a 4-1 victory over new boys Cheadle SMU 2nd Team.

Half time saw us level at 1-1 and Cheadle were very energetic and lively ensuring we defended with caution.

It was a hard fought victory for the lads and game management and clinical finishing ensured we were victorious.

Team- Nicklin, M Povey, Davies, Darby, P Dowling, Lawrence, Blood, Joe Kay, H Povey, Harvey, Jack Kay

Subs- Farrington, Rawlinson, McMurdo, Roche, K Dowling, Lymer

Goalscorers- Ollie Harvey, Jack Kay, Joe Kay and Harry Rawlinson

We next face Bramshall next Sunday in our first league game of the season away at Pennycroft, ST14 7BW. Kick off 10:30.

Tomorrow sees our last Sunday Home Pre Season Friendly as we entertain Uttoxeter dominoes FC at Blythe Bridge, ST11 9PW. Kick off 10.30.

Charlie Bassetts entertained Eastwood Hanley in an afternoon friendly and ran out 6-5 winners.

Despite going down 2-0 the lads fought back to be leading 3-2 at half time thanks to goals from Ollie Harvey, Will Hepburn and Jack Hughes.

The second half saw Bassetts go 5-2 ahead thanks to subsitute Alfie Prime and a second from man of the match Will Hepburn.

Eastwood got a goal back before Alfie Prime got his second to make it 6-3 before Eastwood played on the tired legs of some of the lads who had also played in the morning to get 2 consolation goals but the game finished 6-5 and some valuable minutes for the Bassetts lads
