A weekend of plenty of positives for the Heath! 💚💛

🟢 U9’s

A brilliant team performance saw the U9’s claim an 8-run victory! 👏

⭐️ Eddie Nichols top scored across the whole game with 16 runs, but it was another fantastic all-round performance from everyone involved.

🟢 1st XI

WHAT. A. GAME. 🤯

After reducing J G Meakins to 3 wickets down early, they recovered to post 257.

The chase started perfectly with Dale, back for his first game, smashing 37 with 9 boundaries. Then came a superb 70+ run partnership between Josh Renshaw and Asim Ali to keep the momentum going.

With the game on the line, Super Uwais (31 from 28 balls, 3️⃣ fours & 2️⃣ sixes) and Khalid took over.

⭐️ Khalid produced one of the innings of the season, blasting 50 from just 19 balls, including 7 boundaries (1 four & 6 sixes) with an incredible FIVE sixes in a single over! 💥

An unforgettable chase and a huge win for the 1st XI! 💚

🔴 2nd XI

A tough afternoon after being bowled out for 50, with Crewe reaching the target two wickets down. One to learn from before bouncing back next week.

🟢 U13’s

A tough result against Wedgwood, but there were plenty of positives to take away.

👏 Our best team batting performance of the season, with ⭐️ Hattie Stephenson leading the way, scoring 17 from just 19 balls, including six boundaries! Plenty to build on heading into next week.

🔴 Sunday XI

Another result that didn’t quite go our way. Posting 121, Church Eaton chased it down with 2 wickets down.

Despite the result, it was another enjoyable game of cricket with plenty of positives to take forward.

A tough morning against a strong Codsall side. The result didn’t go our way, but the team kept battling throughout and continue to develop every week. Keep going, team! 👏

💚 1st XI
A superb bowling and fielding display restricted Elworth to just 117 all out.

Even better, it was a true team effort with all six other bowlers also picking up a wicket.

• 9 overs

Two outstanding all-round performances that kept MHCC in the contest right until the end.

A tough morning against Blythe, but the team showed great determination and never stopped battling. Plenty of positives to take forward into the next game. 👏

Sometimes the results don’t fall your way, but the effort, attitude and performances across the club gave us plenty to be proud of this weekend.

🏏 Sunday XI are back at home taking on Stafford in a friendly.

Midweek Results 🏏💚💛

A busy week for our juniors and ladies, with plenty of positives to take from both games!

🌟 U11s vs Stafford CC
A tough result, but some fantastic individual performances:
🏏 Heath Locker top-scored across both teams with the bat.
🎯 With the ball, Heath delivered a brilliant spell of 3 overs, 2 wickets for just 10 runs.

👏 Great effort from the whole team, who continue to improve every week.

💚 Ladies vs Newcastle & Hartshill CC Ladies
An incredibly close game that could have gone either way!

🙌 A huge positive in the field as the ladies took 3 catches from 3 chances – a perfect catching display.
🔥 Another strong all-round team performance, with everyone contributing in a narrow defeat.

🏏 SUNDAY RESULTS 🏏

🔴 U13s Lost by 58 Runs
Another fantastic team effort from our juniors. 💚
The result didn’t go our way, but the attitude, energy and teamwork on display continues to be a credit to the club. Keep going, Heathens! 👏

🟢 T20 WON by 7 Runs vs Eccleshall
What a game! 💪
🏏 Aqib Ali led the way with a superb 65 from 45 balls, while Waz anchored the innings with 38 from 41.
🔥 Aqib then completed an outstanding all-round performance with 2 wickets for just 12 runs from his 4 overs to help secure a thrilling victory.

🔴 T20 Lost by 67 Runs vs NHCC
A tough end to the day, but there were still standout performances.
⭐ Khalid (Muhammad Raja) continued his excellent form, finishing with 3 wickets for 19 runs from his 4 overs, proving once again why he’s such a dangerous bowler.

💚 One win, some brilliant individual performances and another day of great effort from everyone representing MHCC.

🏏 SATURDAY RESULTS 🏏

🟢 U9s WON by 36 Runs
A fantastic all-round team performance from our youngest Heathens! 💚
⭐ Henry Millington led the way with the bat, finishing as the top scorer across both teams, but it was a brilliant effort from everyone to secure another win.

🔴 1st XI Lost by 71 Runs
Chasing 223 was always going to be a tough task, but Shoaib Ali (53) and Josh Renshaw (44) put together a superb 79-run partnership to keep MHCC in the contest. 👏
🎉 A special mention for Shaj, who picked up his first wicket for MHCC – hopefully the first of many!

🔴 2nd XI Lost by 5 Wickets
After being bowled out for 80, with Azaan Maroof top scoring with 36, the team showed tremendous character in the field.
💪 Defending a low total, the wickets were shared around in a real team bowling effort as MHCC claimed 5 wickets and made Stafford battle hard for the victory.

💚 Results may not have all gone our way, but the commitment, fight and team spirit across all three sides was there for all to see.
