🚨⚽️ LITTLE EAGLES FC ARE LOOKING FOR A COACHES! ⚽️🚨

Are you bored of having a peaceful life?
Do you have too much free time at weekends?
Is your phone suspiciously quiet?
Would you like complete strangers to question decisions you made during an U8 football match? 😂

PERFECT. WE NEED YOU!

We’re looking for someone brave enough to become a grassroots football coach.

What can you expect?

😂 Parents questioning your team selection.
🤔 “Why did my son only play there for 10 minutes?”
⚽ Tactical advice from people standing 40 metres away.
📱 WhatsApp messages at 6:14am and 11:37pm.
🌧️ “Coach, is training still on?” while Noah is building his Ark.
💷 Chasing monthly fees like a debt collector.
🧤 Looking for missing gloves, bottles, shin pads and footballs.
🚗 Carrying enough equipment in your car to open your own sports shop.
😤 Being blamed when we lose.
😏 And when we win? Obviously the kids did it themselves.

You’ll also need to explain approximately 4,736 times per season that:

❌ Not everyone can play striker.
❌ Not everyone can start every match.
❌ Substitutions are actually allowed in football.
❌ Training is important.
❌ And no, shouting “SHOOT!!!” every three seconds isn't necessarily tactical coaching. 😂

WHAT DO WE OFFER?

💰 Salary: £0.00
📈 Responsibility: MASSIVE
📱 Messages: UNLIMITED
🧠 Stress: FREE OF CHARGE
🏖️ Weekends off: ABSOLUTELY NOT
😂 Entertainment: GUARANTEED

You will become a coach, psychologist, taxi driver, administrator, mediator, meteorologist, accountant, kit man, motivational speaker and professional cone collector — sometimes all before 9am on Sunday.

But here's the problem...

❤️ You'll probably love it.

Because behind all the madness are kids who turn up wanting to play football, learn, improve, laugh with their teammates and make memories.

And somehow, after the worst week imaginable, one great performance, one smiling kid or one simple:

“Thanks, Coach!”
..makes you forget that 20 minutes earlier you were considering moving to a remote island with no Wi-Fi. 😂

So...

STILL INTERESTED?

Congratulations.

You're clearly crazy enough to join Little Eagles FC. 🦅⚽️😂

Apply at your own risk.

⚽️🦅 LITTLE EAGLES U11 – CHARACTER, FIGHT & ANOTHER STEP FORWARD! 🦅⚽️

Today our Little Eagles U11s faced Blythe Bridge Panthers U11s and produced another performance full of character, determination and team spirit.

It hasn’t been the easiest period for the team. Recently, one of our more experienced players decided to leave the squad. Of course, we would always like to keep every player, but this is part of grassroots football. Players come and go, circumstances change, and our role as coaches is to keep developing the group, create opportunities for others and make sure the team continues moving forward.

And today we saw a fantastic response.

Some of the players who have only recently joined us showed real character and quality, proving that they are ready to take responsibility and become an important part of this team. 👏

With a very small squad and no substitutes available, every player had to play the entire match. As the game progressed, tiredness became more visible, but the effort and determination never disappeared.

We started slowly and conceded an early goal, but the reaction was excellent. The Eagles worked their way back into the game and eventually managed to turn things around and take the lead.

Blythe Bridge Panthers created some very good opportunities as well, and both teams continued to battle until the end. Eventually, the match finished in a draw — a fair result after a competitive and entertaining game.

But once again, the result wasn't the most important thing for us.

One of our main aims today was to encourage the players to take more responsibility on the pitch — to make their own decisions, communicate with each other and find solutions instead of constantly waiting for instructions from the sideline.

It was fantastic to see them doing exactly that. During the breaks between quarters, the players were talking to each other, sharing their thoughts and trying to find ways to improve together.

That is development. That is teamwork. 💙

There is still plenty of work ahead of us, but today showed once again that this group can compete with anyone.

No substitutes. Tired legs. A changing squad. Mistakes along the way.

But they never stopped fighting. 💪🦅

Well done to all our players and thank you to everyone who came along to support the team!

Keep learning. Keep fighting. Keep developing. ⚽️💙

🦅⚽ ANOTHER GREAT CHALLENGE FOR OUR LITTLE EAGLES U8! ⚽🦅

Today our Little Eagles U8 faced Pyramids Rhinos U8 in another league game.

After a run of victories, our coach decided to make things as difficult as possible for the boys today. The main goal wasn't simply to win another game — it was to challenge the players, take them outside their comfort zone and give them new problems to solve on the pitch.

We started the game with players who had received fewer minutes recently and with a slightly different set-up. The opening 10 minutes were difficult and we found ourselves behind, but that was exactly the type of challenge we wanted.

After those first 10 minutes, we returned to our more familiar shape and the boys responded brilliantly. 💪

What pleased us most wasn't just the football we played, but the determination, commitment and adaptability shown by the whole team. Even when things weren't organised in the way they are used to, the players showed that they can think, react and find solutions in a little bit of chaos.

It turned into another excellent test for the whole squad — and another victory for our Little Eagles! 🦅🔥

Unfortunately, due to FA rules for U8 football, we can't publish the final score, but we are extremely pleased with both the performance and the result.

Now we're hoping that the next stage will bring us even stronger opposition and even bigger challenges. That's exactly what these boys need to keep learning, developing and becoming better footballers.

Well done, Little Eagles! 💙🦅⚽

🏆 COUNTY CUP: EAGLES U15 PULL OFF A CUP SHOCK!

Stafford Rangers U15 4–4 Eastwood Hanley Eagles U15
Eagles win 4–2 on penalties ⚽🔥

What an afternoon. What a comeback. And what a result for our Eagles U15! 💙🦅

Today we travelled to face Stafford Rangers U15 in the County Cup, knowing that we were going into the game as clear underdogs. Stafford Rangers currently sit top of Division One in their league, so on paper they were the favourites to progress.

But cup football isn't played on paper.

The game started at a fantastic pace. Stafford took the lead, but our boys responded to make it 1–1. The hosts then showed their quality, scoring twice more to take a 3–1 lead into half-time.

There was another major moment in the first half when a Stafford Rangers player was shown a red card, leaving the hosts with ten men.

At half-time we were two goals behind, but the boys still believed.

And what followed was a brilliant second-half fightback.

We pulled one back to make it 3–2, but Stafford responded again and restored their two-goal advantage at 4–2.

It would have been very easy for our heads to drop.

They didn't.

The Eagles kept pushing, kept believing and kept fighting. We made it 4–3 and then completed an incredible comeback by scoring again to make it 4–4!

From 1–3 down at half-time and then 2–4 down in the second half, we had taken the Division One leaders all the way to a penalty shootout.

And from the spot, our boys held their nerve.

EAGLES WIN THE SHOOTOUT 4–2! 🏆🦅

An incredible cup upset and a fantastic achievement for this group of players.

That's exactly what makes cup football so special. Sometimes the favourites win. Sometimes the team everyone expects to progress does the job.

And sometimes the underdog refuses to accept the script.

Today, the underdog won. 💙

After the match, we all went out together to eat and celebrate. The atmosphere was fantastic — players, coaches and families enjoying a special moment together.

And that's what this football journey is all about. Not just results, but memories, friendships, experiences and days like today that these boys will remember for a long time.

We don't know where this County Cup adventure will take us next.

But we're still in it.

Eastwood Hanley Eagles U15 are through to the next round! 🦅💙🏆

Well done, boys. Be proud of yourselves.

The cup adventure continues...

💙🦅 PROUD OF OUR LITTLE EAGLES! 🦅💙

What a battle from our Eastwood Hanley Little Eagles U11s against Wedgwood FC! ⚽🔥

We conceded early, but this team refused to give up. We fought back, equalised, fell behind again… and fought our way back once more! 💪 That tells you everything about the character, heart and determination these boys showed on the pitch.

Yes, we made mistakes and there is still plenty for us to work on, but you cannot question the effort of this team. Every single player gave everything they had until the final whistle. ❤️⚽

The result may not have gone our way, but performances like this help us grow stronger. We learn, we improve and we keep moving forward together.

Heads up, boys. We are proud of you! 💙🦅

Together as a team. Always.

🏆 AREA TROPHY | EASTWOOD EAGLES U15

Our NSJYL Area Trophy journey comes to an end in the first round following a defeat against Silverdale Athletic Juniors U15.

We started the first half too softly, and two early mistakes allowed our opponents to take the lead. As the game went on, we gradually started to take control, and in the second half we were the dominant side.

Our football looked good up to the final 30 metres. We created chances and scored one goal, but in the decisive moments we lacked composure, experience and ideas in front of goal to turn the game around.

Our Area Trophy journey ends here. It’s another experience for the team and another game we can learn from as we continue to develop.

Now our focus turns to our next cup challenge — the County Cup against Stafford Rangers U15. Hopefully, the lessons from this game will help us when we go again.

Come on Eagles! 💙⚽🦅

🦅⚽ LITTLE EAGLES U8 – ANOTHER GREAT PERFORMANCE! ⚽🦅

Another very successful match for our Eastwood Hanley Little Eagles U8s, who faced Chatterley Vics yesterday! 💙

What makes us particularly proud is that this is our first ever season in the North Staffordshire Junior Youth League, while many of the teams we are competing against are already playing their second season of league football.

Despite that difference in experience, our Little Eagles continue to compete brilliantly and show just how much progress they are making every week. 👏

So far, we still haven’t experienced the taste of defeat. Of course, we are delighted with the results, but we also know that winning isn’t everything. Sometimes you learn more from one defeat than from several victories. Losing is part of football, part of development, and something every young player needs to learn how to deal with.

Next Sunday we face Pyramid Rhinos, before the league groups are reorganised. We hope that our performances will put us into a group with stronger opposition, where the boys will be challenged even more. That is exactly what we need to continue developing. 💪⚽

Yesterday once again we saw fantastic effort, determination and teamwork from the entire squad.

We won’t reveal the score — because at this age, the performance matters much more than the result. And the performance was something we can be very proud of. 💙🦅

Well done, Little Eagles! Keep working, keep learning and keep enjoying your football! 👏⚽

⚽🔥 DERBY VICTORY FOR EAGLES U15! 🔥⚽

Eastwood Hanley Eagles U15 7–4 FC Hanley White U15

Derby games always have that little bit extra, and this one certainly didn’t disappoint! 💙🦅

It was a very nervous, scrappy game full of twists and turns. We would score and then, unfortunately, quickly concede. We mixed some really good football with some very poor moments, and for most of the match the result could have gone either way.

We went into half-time leading 3–2, but we knew the game was far from over. Especially in the first half, our defending left a lot to be improved.

In the second half, our fitness started to make the difference. The boys kept fighting, maintained the intensity and eventually took control towards the end of the game. We finished strongly to secure a 7–4 derby victory! 💪⚽

Another 3 points is something to be happy about, and so is the character and determination the boys showed until the final whistle. At the same time, despite the good result, we know there is still plenty of work ahead of us — especially on our style of play, composure on the ball and defensive organisation.

The derby is ours! 🔥💙

COME ON EAGLES! 🦅⚽
