Honestly boys, the lads in your gym who are in great shape aren’t necessarily doing more than you.
They’re not eating less than you, they’re not “more motivated” than you, they’re not training harder.
They just stopped pi***ng in the wind with no plan.
Their plan was built for them, around their life.
They know what they’re doing every session because they knew what they did last session.
They eat what they’re meant to eat because someone took the guesswork out of it.
Most lads are out here bending their life to fit some plan they nicked off a mate or ripped off ChatGPT.
The lads who actually get into sick shape bend the plan to fit their life.
Sort that out and the results will come.

Most lads waste the first 5 years of their training
Bulking when they should be cutting, cutting when they should be bulking, switching between the 2 every few months because they aren’t seeing results.
Then 5 years down the line, they’re thinking “I’ve been training for 5 years but don’t look like it”
Building muscle without turning into a fat mess isn’t hard, it just takes patience.
Most lads jump the gun and rush the process which is why they never get anywhere.

8 week blitz for ✅
Now, I’m usually not a fan of aggressive cuts but everything has its time and place.
Dyl booked a holiday with 8 weeks to prep.
Dyl’s been working with me for almost 18 months so his training is pretty much bang on which is why I didn’t oppose a quick shred.
Most fellas can’t train properly and then throw low cals and high amounts of cardio on top of that - and that’s a recipe to lose half of your muscle 🤣
I knew that wouldn’t be the case here.
10lbs down in 8 weeks.
Held onto all of his muscle but Dyl’s in much, much better condition.
Now Dyl’s ready for his holiday and won’t be keeping his top on at the pool or shying away from any pictures.
I’ve got a reel coming soon about how we protected Dyl’s training performance so he didn’t lose any tissue, so stay tuned for that.

Most lads do a “cut” and end up losing half their muscle
It wasn’t really a proper cut, you just shrank mate 🤣
And there is a difference…
A cut leaves you leaner, tighter, looking bigger.
The “shrink” leaves you flat, stringy and skinny, wondering why you look like a beanpole in your holiday pics.
Training in a deficit is more important than your diet, that’s if you want to look good at the end of it anyway.
Push too hard and your strength drops = you lose muscle
Protect your training, maintain lifts = you keep muscle
Do it right and you’ll go on holiday looking like the man.
Do it wrong and you’ll look like another skinny lad who doesn’t hit the gym.

Another one bites the dust
3/18.
It’s been a pretty much perfect start so far.
My shoulder is feeling a lot better (still trying to sort out my winged scapula), but everything else has been on point.
As I’m getting leaner, I’m getting better at golf as well lol so can’t complain.
The only change this week has been cardio - upped 5 minutes to 30 mins daily.
Steps are at 15k
Training day food:
3550 cals
230 protein
45 fats
522 carb
Rest day food:
2750 cals
240 protein
67 fats
293 carb
You might be thinking “how are you losing weight on those cals?”
I’m moving a lot, I’ve got a bit of muscle and I’ve got a fast metabolism.
I still get hungry even though I’m eating that much.
Everything is relative to the individual.
I’m a touch over 8.5kg down already which is nice and training performance is still improving.
Bring on week #4
“I’ll sort myself out when work calms down”
Yeah, you keep telling yourself that mate.
Until you actually stop working, there’s always going to be another project or a different site, or something to be done.
You leave work feeling like you’ve smashed it, inbox cleared, tasks done for the day and then you get home…
You realise that you’ve been smashing it at work for ages but you’ve gone backwards everywhere else.
Your boss gets the best version of you and everyone else has to deal with what’s left.
Your job’s not going to sort your body out.
Stop with the bulls**t excuses and get to work with the time you’ve got.
