Nicholas Takes the 18&U Bucks County Championship!

What a battle! Nicholas has been crowned 18&U Bucks County Champion, winning an incredibly tight final that went all the way to a third-set tiebreak.

A fantastic achievement and a brilliant display of composure when it mattered most. Huge congratulations, Nicholas what a way to take the title!

What a start to our Summer Holiday Camps!

Week 1 of our More Than Just Tennis Holiday Camps has been absolutely brilliant, and we're already having just as much fun in Week 2!

One of the biggest highlights from last Friday was our brand-new Grand Slam Showdown, where Team Australia came out on top after an afternoon packed with tennis, team challenges and plenty of smiles. 🇦🇺🏆

The energy, teamwork and excitement were incredible, and the players loved every minute of it.

The good news? We're doing it all again this Friday!

I'm incredibly proud of Matteo, Naomi, Eli and Mia, who represented Team Stony Tennis at the 9&U Bucks League at Halton this weekend.

The team played some fantastic tennis, showed brilliant determination throughout the day and worked superbly together to finish 2nd overall with 10 points. A silver medal is a fantastic achievement against strong county competition.

What pleased me most wasn't just the result—it was the attitude, sportsmanship and resilience they showed every time they stepped onto the court. These are the qualities we work hard to develop, and it was brilliant to see them shine under pressure.

A huge congratulations to all four players. You represented both Buckinghamshire and Team Stony Tennis brilliantly, and you should all be incredibly proud of yourselves.

Some days remind me that tennis is about so much more than what happens on the court.

Yesterday, with the fantastic help of Coach Shruthi, I had the privilege of taking three of our junior players on their very first trip to Wimbledon. None of them had ever been before, and watching their excitement from the moment we arrived was something I'll never forget.

We explored the famous grounds, visited Centre Court and Court 1, stood on the historic Court 18, enjoyed the interactive tennis activities, and soaked up the incredible atmosphere on Henman Hill while cheering on Britain's Arthur Fery.

The highlight of the day, though, came thanks to a friendship that's lasted over 15 years. We had the opportunity to meet world No. 3 doubles player Gabriela Dabrowski and Luisa Stefani, and even better, we were invited to be their support team during their match on Court 2. The juniors absolutely loved every minute, and seeing the players go on to win made the experience even more special.

On the journey home, one of the children turned to me and simply said...

"That was the best day ever."

Those few words made the entire trip worthwhile.

Moments like these are exactly why I love coaching. Yes, we're here to develop forehands, backhands and serves, but we're also here to create memories, inspire dreams and show our young players just how far this wonderful sport can take them.

I'm incredibly proud of Sofia H. after she won the Grade 4 11&U Tournament here at Stony Stratford last Saturday.

It was a long day on court, with four Fast4 matches, and Sofia showed fantastic determination from start to finish, winning every single one. One of her biggest victories came against a talented national-level player born in 2016, proving just how much her hard work is paying off.

What impresses me most isn't just the result—it's the attitude Sofia brings every time she steps on court. She trains hard, competes with confidence, and continues to improve week after week.

Moments like these are a reward for all the commitment she's shown, and I'm excited to see what comes next on her tennis journey.

A huge congratulations, Sofia! You've made everyone at Team Stony Tennis incredibly proud. Keep believing, keep working, and keep enjoying the journey. The best is still to come! 💙🎾

Last Sunday, it was a real pleasure to host the Bucks 8&U Division 1 event here at Stony Stratford Tennis Club.

With 16 young players, four teams, and an incredible 48 matches played in just two hours, the courts were full of energy from start to finish. Some players were experiencing competitive tennis for the very first time, while others showed fantastic composure under pressure. What impressed me most, though, was the sportsmanship, effort, and smiles on display throughout the morning.

Congratulations to Halton Tennis Club on becoming tournament champions, and a huge well done to our own Team Stony Tennis A team for finishing runners-up, with our B team securing an excellent third place. Every player should be incredibly proud of how they represented themselves and their clubs.

A big thank you also goes to our brilliant volunteer team—Antonio, Katie, Jan, Sofia and Sofia. Events like this simply wouldn't happen without people giving up their time to help everything run smoothly.

Finally, thank you to all the parents, coaches and supporters who created such a positive atmosphere around the courts. Your encouragement makes a huge difference to these young players.

Days like this remind me why I love coaching. Watching children compete, learn, support each other, and enjoy the game is what Team Stony Tennis is all about.
