Second game of the season and not one to remember for positives. We didn't compete, were second to everything and sloppy in possession. Compliments to our opposition for wanting it more than us and showing what that brings

We have performances like this in us unfortunately so for me I hope getting it out the way this early in the season means we can forget about it, learn that we have to bring passion and desire as soon as we step out onto the pitch. It won't just happen.

Back at it yesterday. With a quiet pre season where we came runners up in a tournament we played only our second full game since May. Tough opponents, was always going to be a hard game but we stayed in it until the last 15 minutes which means the legs started to feel the pace. Proud of the lads, a vast amount of positives from the game, they played really well and can't fault their performance.

Tough game today for the lads against a strong team that will cause problems and make us have to work hard.

Unfortunately due to illnesses we found ourselves going into the game with only 8 players (9aside) and not being able to train on Saturday either.

First half we found it hard going and we didn't help ourselves by not doing the basics. Giving the ball away, not marking andbeing too passive in 1v1's.

We knew it would be tough and the first 30mins proved that.

Second half, after a good talking to, the lads improved on the above and gave it everything. We got a couple goals, but again we knew that it would be a hard ask to get something from the game. We can be very proud of our second half effort, every player from GK to ST upping their game and showing resilience to keep going right to the final whistle. Hopefully we start next weeks game like that, as I can't ask for much more.

This weekends game was a beauty. We kicked off and instantly put the ball into the net, JTh admitting it was a shot in the pub after. Pepsi for him only BTW. We then scored again within minutes, something we really weren't expecting against a good side that we always struggle against. Not our best passing performance but we took our chances when needed, even JF popping one in Cunha esq from a corner!!!!

We defended strongly, albeit sometimes not clearing our lines enough to see out the danger which inevitably cost us the 3 points with the last kick of the game. 2 games, 4 points. If someone said would you be happy with this before the first trophy game last week I would've said yes. Slightly disappointed that it isn't 6.

We learn from it and go to work on ensuring we pick up the loose ball in this week's training.

First match in our trophy group and a cracking game. Competitive opponents, physical tackles but also respect shown between the players and lots of fantastic football on show.

We passed the ball about very well and took a couple chances that we created, with our GK producing a flurry of great saves to keep us ahead.

Beautiful morning to play football and the boys did exactly that. Some good passing phases and strong at the back. We had our chances throughout the game and rightly put these away when needed, something we've been struggling with lately. Great to see the boys all smiling again 💪🏻

Game of two halves yesterday. First half we played some good football with the only negative being that we didn't put the ball into the back of the net. Lately we have been freely doing that, possibly down to not moving the ball faster and shooting when we should pass, or pass when we should've shot, fine margins. The lads only learn from this. As I always say, there's no wrong decision but was there a better decision??

Unfortunately it came back to bite us in the second half. We never got going and the opposition put us under pressure and did what we couldn't do in the first half, so we congratulate them on doing so

A good game to be part of and also a chance to work on being more clinical and direct in front of goal over the coming week

New Year, first game after two being postponed.

Played a very competitive team who were on us from the off, not letting us get into our rhythm. We went behind to come back instantly and then we found our way with moving the ball to create chances, made the most of them in a short space of time and held onto it for the rest of the game. Great game to watch in bitter conditions with some great individual play be it saves/shots/passing

Well done lads. Plenty of running in the legs to get our fitness back up. Keep up the hard work
