What a fantastic day out for the girls from King Edward VI High School for Girls. They spent their Saturday climbing at Ramshaw Rocks with the legend of British climbing, Andi Turner (and little old me 🤣). Thanks also to Toney Smith who's incredible enthusiasm kept everybody smiling. 😃🙏👍

Even in torrential rain and gale-force winds, the Welsh mountains have a unique charm and beauty. Congratulations to the lads from JP Alternative Education who battled through the wind and rain to complete a circuit on the Miners' path and the PYG track on Yr Wydda - (or Snowdon to those of us from East of the Welsh border). 👊👍

It's been a crazily busy, not to mention wet, start to the summer months. Well done to the King Edward's, Edgbaston boys who endured incessant heavy rain to complete their Silver training in the Severn Valley and Wyre Forest. Here's hoping for better weather for the qualifier in the Long Mynd to come. 🙏🤞🤣

Congratulations to the wonderful scholars of Brook Mead Academy on completing their Bronze DofE expedition in rather warm conditions in the beautiful Leicestershire countryside. Despite the heat, they persevered, remained cheerful and were incredibly encouraging to each-other. Thanks also to the hard working staff who made this all possible. It was a delight to be there. 😃👏

Congratulations to the 16 intrepid explorers from Thomas Adams School - Wem who completed 5 days on the River Severn, from Nescliff to Shrewsbury for the Silver DofE Practice, then from Atcham to Arley via Ironbridge and Bridgnorth for the 3 day Qualifier. The weather wasn't kind at times, with hailstones and strong winds, but they stayed positive, remained stoic and were rewarded with sunny spells and bumpy rapids to add to the excitement. A massive well done to all. 😃👏

Congratulations to the pupils of Redhill School, Stourbridge, who overcame the hot days and freezing nights of April to successfully complete their DofE Bronze Qualifying expedition. All had a fantastic time despite the heat of the second day, and everyone passed with flying colours. 😀👍👏👏👏

It was a busy and wonderful time last week. Congratulations to the pupils of Codsall Community High School who all successfully completed their Bronze Practice expedition. All improved dramatically over two days and are ready to smash it in the Qualifier in Staffs in June. 😀👍

Congratulations to the intrepid pupils of Thomas Adams School who completed their Gold DofE Canoeing expedition on the fabulous River Wye. We had thunder and lightening, torrential downpours and gusty winds but they persevered and made it through to a lovely sunny day to finish in style over the Yat rapids at Symonds Yat.
Well done to all. 👏

After exploring Kinver Edge and the rock houses on the first day, we're now starting our voluntary work with the National Trust, clearing the scrub on the lowland heath to allow the heather and invertebrates to flourish.
