A massive thank you to Staverton park for hosting the Autumn Cup on Sunday 22nd October.

Congratulations to Lila Bisset who shot a gross 70 (-1) to win the gross trophy and Lucy Haywood on winning the nett with a score of 73🏆
Longest drive went to Molly- May Baker and nearest the pin Lila⛳️

The end of season presentation celebrated the girls achievements throughout the year with coaches picks being awarded to Emily Goodall, Eleanor Hamilton and Olivia Holyoak-church⭐️

Outgoing captain Chelsey Sharp kindly donated a captain’s pick plaque which was awarded to Emily Nunn for her commitment, positive attitude and determination. Emily made her last girls appearance and has now progressed to the Ladies Team.

We are pleased to announce Lila Bisset as the 2024 captain and Maliha Mirza her vice.

Congratulations also went to Lila, Molly-May and Chelsey on being selected for the England Golf regional training squad.

We also have three girls representing the county in National competitions. Lila and Molly-May progressed to grand finals in Portugal and Dubai later this month and Edie Connolly is also off to Spain La Manga in February for the Robert Rocket European Masters. We wish you all the best of luck💙

MIDLAND GIRLS CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS 2023

Congratulations to Lila Bisset who won both the midlands girls U16 and U18 champion of champions at Trentham Park GC yesterday. Lila was part of a very strong girls field but she secured the victory with a 7 shot lead🏆

Lila shot a 66 (-4) in the morning playing some solid golf and hitting 90% of greens in regulation, carding 6 birdies and 2 bogeys in the process. The weather in the afternoon was more of a challenge with strong winds and rain, but Lila managed to stay focused and carded a very respectable 72 (+2) to win both competitions.

Very well played Lila, a great end to the season💙

🏆Midland South Girls Scratch Champions🏆

Huge congratulations to the County Girls scratch team on a fantastic win today against Buckinghamshire in the County Scratch Finals held at Stourbridge GC.

At the start it didn’t look like the win was in Northamptonshire’s favour with all 5 girls being down in their matches early on. However, the girls all fought hard and brought it back to narrow the gap in each match. After 4 matches completed we were drawing to Buckinghamshire 2-2, with the final match all square going down the 18th hole. Eleanor held her nerve and sunk the winning putt to win her match 1up on the 18th green. Resulting in a very narrow but exciting 3-2 victory against Buckinghamshire💙

This is the first time in 5 years we have managed to get to the finals and win. Very well played to each and every individual who has participated in the league matches and to all the girls that took part in the final, it was a huge team effort👊🏻

Midlands South Girls Championship🏆

On Tuesday 29th August Cherwell Edge GC hosted the Midlands South Girls Championship. Northamptonshire was well represented by the junior girls.

Congratulations to Northampton Team A on winning the Gross team trophy. This team consisted of Eleanor Hamilton, Chelsey Sharp and Lila Bisset.
Lila Bisset also won the U15 girls gross competition🏆

🏆SOUTH MIDLANDS 2nd TEAM MATCHPLAY WINNERS🏆

Congratulations to the Ladies 2nd team, on beating Buckinghamshire in a very tight and tense day at Edgbaston GC, as most matches were decided on the 18th.

This is a huge achievement for Northamptonshire as it is the first time ever winning this competition and getting our name on the trophy.

This was a team effort in getting to the finals, with previous wins over Warwickshire and Worcester & Hereford.

Thank you to everyone who helped, supported and cheered us on, it certainly lifted the team spirit💙

Good Luck to the Ladies 2nd team, playing in the Midland South Finals against Buckinghamshire.

The morning foursomes result is 2-1 to Buckinghamshire, but there is plenty to play for in this afternoons singles matches.

County Juniors Girls Match Result:

On Saturday NCGC hosted the County Girls in their home match against Worcester & Herefordshire. The girls all played in great spirit despite the weather.

The scratch team won their match 3-2, resulting in them now reaching the Midland South Finals; the first time in 7 years.

The handicap team halved their match, with a previous win over Warwickshire (now confirmed). They are in a very strong position to also qualify for the finals in August.

🏆💙VICTORY FOR NORTHAMPTONSHIRE COUNTY GIRLS🏆💙

On Sunday the County Girls travelled to Coventry Hearsall GC to play their first league match of the season against Warwickshire.

The scratch team dominated in all their matches and won 5-0, a win next month against Worcester & Herefordshire would guarantee them a place in the Midland South Finals!

The handicap team came across a high handicap team resulting in 10+ shots being given. The girls battled hard and were unlucky not to win, but came away with a draw.

For many of the girls it was their first time representing the county and they did Northamptonshire proud💙

County Week 2023💙 - Sonning GC, Berkshire📍

Another successful county week for Northamptonshire, saw a significant improvement and team development from previous years. The team came across strong oppositions but heads did not drop and 100% effort was given. Bring on next year👊🏻

NGL Roses Spring Cup🏆

Congratulations to Emily Nunn winner of the NGL Roses Spring Cup on Saturday. Emily played extremely well in tough conditions.

A big thank you to everyone for participating and to Kettering GC who hosted the event. The course was in very good condition.

Juniors County Championship 2023🏆

Congratulations to Eloise Feeley our 2023 county girls gross champion and Edie Connolly our nett champion.

Eloise played magnificently all day with rounds of +7 and +1 to become overall County Girls Champion.

This was Edie’s first ever 36 holes and she had a superb 12 under her handicap in the first round and held on to win the Nett and Irish cup for best stableford score in the morning.

Well done to everyone who played and to those that won individual age group prizes.
