Today Aspire4u invited me to join them at the Carers Event at Merry Hill as a unpaid carer advocate.
We demonstrated the Bridgit App, helping carers to sign up.
Bridgit is an online service for carers commissioned by Dudley Council,
the app is a 24/7 online support service. Which can be tailored to each carers needs and is part of the Dudley Carers Hub provision.
As a unpaid carer myself I find the app really useful, it has lots of information and is designed to help carers find the resources they need, while also connecting people to in person support services that are available locally. It includes things like mentoring and coaching, to balance the demands of caring, while helping unpaid carers to also look after their own wellbeing.
Here’s the link 👇🏾 https://carers.bridgit.care/app/dashboard/102/advice
If you haven’t already I recommend you give it ago. 🙂

Tomorrow I'll be supporting this event as a Carer Advocate Representative for Aspire4u, where I'll be helping to demonstrate a new app designed for carers living in the Dudley Borough.
The event runs from 9am–3pm, and I'll be at a table from 11am–12pm. If you're attending and would like to come along and say hello, it would be lovely to see you.
Leonie 😊

Mom’s Mindful Hub is a community group supporting mental wellness and reducing social isolation for moms and families.
We don’t offer therapy, but our facilitators have lived experience of mental health challenges and are trained mental health first aiders.
We provide spaces that offer gentle support, open conversations, and signposting to other services when needed.
Mental health challenges can feel lonely.
We want to remind you that you don’t have to face that alone.

Shared healthy coping mechanisms.
A community that understands the messy, beautiful, overwhelming bits of family life.
A place to connect, whether your a new mom, children are with you or at school.
Who runs the group?
Our groups are shaped by the people who attend them.
We welcome ideas, feedback, and volunteers, it’s truly a community‑led space.
You’re always welcome If things feel heavy right now, or you just need a friendly space to breathe, we’re here.
