🐴 GIRTH STRAP REPLACEMENT

I recently had some saddles in for repair with girth straps that were desperately in need of replacement.

⚠️ They should never be allowed to reach this condition. If a girth strap fails, the saddle can slip or come away completely, putting both horse and rider at serious risk of injury.

For riding establishments, the consequences could also be costly, including potential insurance claims.

✂️ The Lady Saddler offers girth strap replacement, with quality leatherwork, attention to detail, and a quick turnaround.

Don't wait until it's too late.

📩 Message me to discuss your requirements.

Well… hello again. 👋

It’s been a while.

Almost two years, actually. 🤍

For those who know me personally or have followed my leatherwork for a while, you’ll know that life took me in a completely different direction. I stepped away from the business and, for a long time, leatherwork had to take a back seat while I concentrated on putting myself and my life back together.

It’s taken time. More time than I ever expected.

But I’m finally feeling ready to pick up my tools again. 💙

And today, 1st September 2026, feels like a particularly special day to do that, as it marks 10 years since I started my business as The Lady Saddler.... 10 YEARS - OMG!!! 😲 😍

So, rather quietly, I’m coming back.

I’m starting small, with the piece that has always been one of my favourites to make — my handmade leather stirrup keyrings.

They’re back, they’re available to order, and my website and Etsy shop are being refreshed with what I actually have available rather than what I might make one day! 😘

There will be more leatherwork to come as I find my feet again.

For now, I just wanted to say hello.

Thank you to everyone who stuck around while I disappeared. To old customers, friends I've made through the industry, fellow saddlers and makers, and everyone who has supported my work over the years — it genuinely means more than you probably realise.

Here’s to picking things up again. One piece of leather at a time. ❤️

🧵 REPAIR - RECYCLE - REUSE 🪡

Leather Repairs is a regular service that Saddlers provide, from mending broken parts, to changing tired and worn girth straps on saddles.

My repair services start from £26ph (plus materials).

Yes, you can buy something new, cheaper, less quality, but my gosh, it won't have the memories or the sentimental value of that leather item you've been keeping for years because it once fitted your old horse or pony.

Here's a blog post I wrote, about some leather repairs, I did recently.

Repairing leather headcollars is great for the environment and you get to keep a sentimental piece of history.
