Blodorn Englar is a living history and full-contact combat group based in Suffolk, UK, portraying a diverse band of 9th–10th century mercenaries from Anglo-Saxon, Viking, Norman, Rus, and Slavic cultures. Rooted in authentic representation and disciplined martial training, we specialise in full-contact combat under both Eastern and Huscarl fighting systems, with a strong emphasis on skill, safety, and historical accuracy. Our warriors train hard to uphold our reputation for high-impact, crowd-pleasing displays that stay true to the period we portray. But we are more than just fighters. Blodorn Englar has evolved into a thriving community of craftspeople, archers, and living historians. Our members take pride in learning and demonstrating a range of historical skills, from blacksmithing, woodworking, weaving, and leathercraft to traditional archery, we bring the Viking Age vividly to life for the public. We actively encourage members to make or acquire high-quality, battle-ready equipment and historically accurate clothing, armour, and weaponry in line with our group standards.
