Cavanlee CPC

There was 10 guns at cavanalee today with 4 shooters recording straight. Stevie Conway x 2, Martin mcgeehan, Gareth Torrens and John McCleery. In the shoot off Stevie came out on top with John and Martin tying and going to sudden death single barrell with Martin taking 2nd place and John settling for third. There was 14 entries into the pool stand with John McCleery being the only possible shot and taking first place.

It was a calm but wet day for our monthly shoot at cavanalee with 23 guns turning out. There was 9 shooters who managed to record straights with 8 remaining for the finals. John McCleery, John Gormley, Eugene Kerlin x2, Caitlin O’Loughlin x 2, Kyle Fisher , Kelan Reid x 2, Sean Doherty, Craig Loughlin and James Browne. In the Finals Sean Doherty shot it straight to take first place. We had 4 shooters with 44s who had to go for a second round with Eugene Kerlin, Caitlin O’Loughlin, Kelan Reid and Craig Loughlin with Caitlin shooting the second final straight to take second place and Eugene taking third spot with 41. We also had a pool stand running with John McCleery taking first place with the only possible shot all day.

There was excellent conditions for today’s shoot at cavanalee. It was quiet with only 8 shooters turning out with 2 recording straights. Gary lynch and John Gormley. In the final Gary shot another possible to take first place with John securing second and John McCleery taking third. Gary also won the pool shoot.

There was 17 shooters in attendance at today’s shoot with only 4 possibles recorded in terrible conditions with the wind making the birds very tricky all day. Caitlin O’Loughlin, John Gormley, John McCleery and Gary Lynch. Gary lynch coming out on top in the final with 2 barrels, Caitlin taking second with three barrels and John McCleery taking third spot. There was also a pool shoot on the day with only one straight recorded with Donal McGurk taking first place . The club also presented Caitlin O’Loughlin with a carton of DTL300s for making the Irish ladies team in her first year of shooting, congratulations from all at the club.
