Why Your Bunker Game Isn’t Improving (And Why It Probably Isn’t Your Fault) 22/07/2026

Most golfers think they have a bunker problem. In reality, they probably have a diagnosis problem.

Open the clubface. Use the bounce. Accelerate through. You have heard it all before, yet plenty of golfers still walk into a bunker with no confidence at all. A video can tell you what to do. It cannot tell you why you, specifically, are leaving the ball in the sand or hitting it heavy.

Julian has loved bunkers his whole life, from hours spent as a child experimenting in the practice bunker to one of his favourite sessions to teach today. In our latest blog, he breaks down why most bunker advice fails and what actually builds lasting confidence.

Read it here:

Why Your Bunker Game Isn’t Improving (And Why It Probably Isn’t Your Fault) "That's the first time in years it's felt effortless." One of four golfers who came through our doors in April. Different swings, different problems — but the same result every time. Here is what happened.

Most Golfers Make Short-Sided Bunker Shots Too Difficult Short-sided bunker shots don’t have to be scary.

Most golfers struggle because of the setup, not the swing.

In today’s YouTube video, I’ll show you the simple method we teach to help you get out of the bunker consistently and give yourself the best chance of finishing close to the hole.

⛳ If bunker play is holding you back, why not join me for our Bunker Confidence Masterclass on Friday 31st July at Nailcote Hall, home of the British Par 3 Championship?

It’s a premium half-day experience with expert coaching, plenty of practice, coffee, a bacon roll and lunch included.

What’s your biggest challenge from the bunker?

Timeless Golf Swing Online Academy – golf over 60 23/06/2026

"I used to be better."

It's a sentence we've heard thousands of times from golfers in their 60s, 70s and 80s.

The truth is, there is absolutely nothing wrong with wanting to play better.

But there is also nothing wrong with being a normal golfer.

A few weeks ago, Julian wrote a simple Facebook post about how many golfers feel left behind by the modern game.

Over 100,000 golfers read it.

The response was overwhelming. Golfers sharing stories about lost distance, changing bodies, frustration, acceptance, friendship, and rediscovering why they fell in love with golf in the first place.

So we decided to create something specifically for those golfers.

Not a programme promising miracles.

Not another collection of complicated swing positions.

Just a simpler, more enjoyable way to experience golf.

If you've ever felt that golf has become harder than it needs to be, or that nobody seems to be speaking to golfers like you anymore, this page is for you.

Take a look and see what all the fuss is about:

Because golf should be enjoyed, not endured.

Why Some Golfers Are Gaining 20–30 Yards With XXIO Golf Clubs 17/06/2026

One of the biggest misconceptions in golf is that losing distance is simply part of getting older. But having spent the past few weeks testing golfers with XXIO golf clubs for seniors, we’ve found that’s not always true, and the results have surprised even us.

That's exactly what our Driver Confidence day is designed to help with.

Built around the Timeless Golf Swing®, you'll learn how to swing more freely, strike the ball more solidly, and gain confidence from the tee.

We have a couple of places available next Monday.

One thing I see a lot in golf is golfers spending hour after hour hitting balls off perfect mats… then wondering why it doesn’t quite transfer onto the golf course.

Here’s the honest truth.

If you spend far more time practising off mats than you do off grass, don’t be surprised if striking the ball consistently on the course becomes difficult.

A mat can hide a lot.

You can get away with contact that grass would immediately expose. You lose that awareness of ball then turf. You lose the feeling of how the club really interacts with the ground. And over time, many golfers slowly disconnect from the realities of playing golf.

Because golf isn’t played on a perfectly flat driving range mat.

It’s played from uneven lies. Wet lies. Tight lies. Bare patches. Into the wind. Downwind. From rough. From sand. Under pressure. With consequences.

You’re not just training your golf swing when you practise on the course or on grass. You’re training your awareness, your touch, your reactions, your distance control, your adaptability and your confidence.

You’re learning to become a golfer… not just someone who hits balls.

And this is why some golfers can stripe it on the range yet struggle when they get onto the first tee.

The golf course asks different questions.

So next time you practise, ask yourself:Am I just hitting balls…or am I actually preparing to play golf?

There’s a big difference.
