A win for the first match for Avon Seniors in the LNA!

A fantastic display of netball with lots of new senior debutants who stepped up to the mark and slotted in perfectly! Attack was seamless and all of the shooters and middies worked together perfectly. Defence were relentless and worked together to win ball! Fantastic start to the season, very proud ❤️

Fantastic to see you all out on court and giving it your all. There are a few areas for us to work on, but overall, a brilliant first game and a great start to the season!

Before the summer break, our U13s Division 1 team took part in the Margaret Thomson Memorial Tournament and put in an outstanding performance.

It was also fantastic to see some of our Division 2 players stepping up and contributing to the team.

The girls won all but one of their matches, drawing the other, resulting in Avon finishing in second place - missing out on the title only on goal difference.

They played brilliantly throughout the tournament, and it was a fantastic way to round off what has been a very successful season for this team. Well done, girls! ❤️✨

A huge congratulations also to Carly, who was awarded Player of the Tournament for Avon - a thoroughly well deserved recognition! ⭐️

One week on from the gorgeous Mitchell wedding ❤️✨

Last Saturday, our lovely coach Lucie married Henry in what was a perfect day from start to finish. It was such a beautiful day, and coaches Gillian and Emma had the best day celebrating with the happy couple.

Congratulations again to Lucie and Henry. Everyone at Avon wishes you both a lifetime of happiness together ❤️✨

The Avon Endeavour Cup donated by Emma and Gillian Crozier is awarded to those who consistently go above and beyond in their support of the club, demonstrating commitment, encouraging positivity, helping out where they can and having a true can do attitude ⭐️

This season’s deserving winners, Zoe, Eilidh (pictured) and Annie, have embodied all of these qualities throughout the 2025/26 season. Their willingness to help wherever needed and the support they have given Lucie all season has been invaluable. They have led by example, always stepping up when asked and contributing greatly to the success of the senior section of the club.

Avon Seniors had a fantastic season back in the GNA this year. They went on an 11 game winning streak and were so unlucky to miss out on promotion by one game and ended up finishing 3rd. However the growth in the squad is something we are exceptionally proud of, having a wonderful group of players who always try their best and make up a happy, fun, hardworking team has made netball more than just the matches and trainings each week! Here’s to next season ❤️‍🔥
