⛷️🏔️ NASAA Conference – Scotland 2026

It’s been a busy week, and The Lecht was delighted to co-host this year’s NASAA Conference alongside Glenshee.

The North Atlantic Ski Areas Association (NASAA) brings together ski areas from across Scotland and Iceland, providing an important opportunity for smaller resorts to share knowledge, experiences and ideas, discuss the common challenges facing our industry and strengthen collaboration with suppliers.

This year’s conference was held across the Braemar Gathering & Highland Games Centre and The Lecht Ski Centre, giving us the opportunity to showcase our ski areas, facilities and some of what makes this part of Scotland so special.

Of course, we couldn’t welcome our Icelandic friends to Scotland without giving them a taste of Scottish culture! Guests were treated to a fantastic Highland dancing display by Emma Anderson, a demonstration of traditional Highland Games heavyweight events from Kyle Randalls and James Dawkins, with delegates even getting the chance to try some of the events themselves.

The conference also featured a wonderful gin tasting experience from Persie Gin, which proved to be a great way for our guests to sample another Scottish speciality.

A huge thank you to all of our suppliers who attended and supported the conference. Their involvement, expertise and continued support play a vital role in the success of ski areas across the North Atlantic.

🔧 WE’RE HIRING – MECHANICAL LIFT ENGINEER 🏔️

We’re looking to hire a Mechanical Lift Engineer to join our team at The Lecht for the upcoming winter season.

If you have a strong mechanical background, practical engineering experience and fancy working somewhere a little different this winter, we’d love to hear from you.

Previous ski lift experience would be an advantage, but is not essential.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for the Lecht Last Lap today!

Unfortunately, the best part of the day was a little foggy and visibility was tricky, but we hope you all still had a fantastic time on the hill.

Our Mountain bike trails, Easyloop uplift system, skills park and pump track are open today. Come and blow those Sunday cobwebs away.

Morning, wee reminder the Mountain Bike Trails are closed today, the cafe is open serving, breakfast rolls, light lunches, coffee and cake. The trails will be open on Sunday 9.30 til 4pm.

The following is taken from EasyLoop
"The special design of the easyLOOPsystem allows it to transport any type of bike—whether it's cross-country, all-mountain, enduro, freeride, e-bike, or downhill bike—without any additional components. It makes no difference whether the bike has an ahead stem or a direct-mount stem on a dual-crown fork."

However we have found that certain dual-crown forks do not work as well. Picture One with the smooth stem do not attach as well to the easy loop system.

We are currently looking into adapter attachments for this.
