Lunging and Groundwork 1 Day Clinic, Ashen Equestrian Centre CO10 8JU

Whether you and your horse are new to or experienced in lunging and groundwork the format of this clinic will help you and your horse become more connected and balanced.

Combining demos, induvial lessons and Q&A sessions we will explore, understand and teach your horse how to (and the benefits of) relaxation, stretching, flexion and bend, to align its spine, lift its back and condition its core.

Lateral work will be demystified giving you clarity on what, when, how, why and the essential prerequisites and building blocks for, leg yield, shoulder in, travers and half-pass movements.

No side reins. No gadgets. Leave with a deeper understanding to develop the skills and help your horse lighten its forehand, improve its balance, impulsion and cadence.

It gives Chris and I so much pleasure to host that we felt inspired to convert Ashen Equestrian Centre’s old saddlery into “Saddlers”.

Saddlers is adjacent to but separate from Mac Shack and sleeps 2 in a luxurious King Sized bed or can be configured as a Twin with 2 single beds.

Finished to the same high standard as Mac Shack, Saddlers is cosy and comfy with unique design features, blending rustic charm with modern comforts.

Open plan living space,smart TV, dining area, kitchen area with, electric oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer,coffee machine, walk-in shower room, heated towel rail and toilet.

Saddlers is perfect for couples or solo travellers looking for a quiet break, or book Mac Shack and Saddlers for friends and family bookings of up-to 6 guests.

October at Ashen Equestrian Centre is fully booked.
However, a group of 3 booked for a "bespoke course" 26th - 28th Oct has generously invited one or two like-minded horse-lovers to join them.
